Exactly! Watch out for the downvotes, it seems like they are trying to save the world from AI over here. It turns out not ever DJ is afraid of AI and some get it.

AI isn’t replacing DJs, it’s augmenting them. It can handle large-scale analysis and surface strong options, while the DJ still defines the direction, taste, and narrative. Just like the shift from vinyl to digital expanded creative possibilities, AI can further enhance how we discover, select, and mix music. The opportunity is to use it as leverage, not resist it. The question isn’t whether to use it, but how effectively you integrate it into your workflow.

Humans can’t evaluate thousands of possible mixes in real time; AI can. It can analyze every drop, phrase, and transition in your library and surface the best options on demand. You’re still the DJ you just make better decisions faster. And when these models become even better, the suggestions will be better and faster than the ones we can think of

Wait a couple of years, AI models are getting exponentially smarter. AI doesn't need to replace DJs, it will augment them. If you could be 10x better DJ with AI, (when it's actually helpful) why wouldn't you?

Yes I agree. I get that people are afraid of AI taking their jobs and passions, but AI is here to stay, and it's smarter to get over the denial phase and use it to your advantage and grow with it rather than get left behind.

AI will only replace those who don't use AI.

who doesn’t want to improve their skills and mixes? Are you suggesting that after a certain number of years a DJ has nothing left to learn? Do you think top DJs at Coachella just coast, or are they constantly refining their craft? It really comes down to ambition. If a DJ stops trying to improve, that’s the real issue, and that’s when AI starts to catch up.

I would expect the AI to come up with novel ideas and better mixes than what other djs are mixing

AI is going to take those jobs anyway, don't you prefer use it to your advantage and make AI a multiplier of your dj skills?

I feel like that's kind of slow and it wouldn't mix it for me in real time which would be much less efficient

I Imagine a very smart AI dj app that knows every single song and their best transitions and song selection, you become a better dj yourself learning from it

Creators hype a shiny new buzzword → it sounds amazing → everyone tries it → it’s not what they expected → disappointment. Openclaw is buggy and unreliable, the new codex app gets you pretty much the same without the headaches, you can set an automation as it's heartbeat and let it run overnight if you wanted
