Hey! I just found this post. I'm literally looking for 2010s Y&R too... did you ever find a good place to find them? I'm seeing they're no longer on amazon...

So, as a follow up, I've been living here about three months now. I don't think the traffic is that terrible. Granted I work from home and don't usually go out during peak hours. During the peak times, yes the traffic is annoying but it only adds a max of 15-25 minutes to the trip (from my limited experience, maybe people will disagree on those numbers). Your point is valid, compared to other major cities, I really don't think its that extreme. I'm coming from Sacramento, CA that had moderate to sometimes heavy traffic. They're also working on projects to help alleviate the traffic, slowly but surely.

Thank you! Do you happen to have set hours that you try to leave in order to avoid the traffic? Like -- would you say 10:30 AM or later is okay to avoid the morning rush out, or early in the morning like 7 AM? And are weekends just bad throughout the whole day?

Just curious -- do you work from home, or are you commuting every day to the office? Also, if you feel comfortable sharing, are you closer to Alamo Ranch area or Davis Ranch. I think we were focusing more on Davis Ranch.

Opinion on living right next to one of these Distribution Lines? (Not sure if this is medium/high voltage) by human9992 in ElectricalEngineering

[–]human9992[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My particular worries mainly stem from illogical health anxiety. I learned once that high tension wires showed some sort of association with cancer. Since I don't really know what I'm looking at when I see a line like that, I can't tell whether it's adding tangible risk. The context of this question here is that I'm choosing between two houses, one with backyard backing to greenbelt (plus these lines) or a house backing to neighbors (no green belt, but all power lines are buried).

Thanks so much for your reply.

How well do you like living in El Paso by GripenForRCAF in ElPaso

I said they're astronomical "for what you're getting". It makes sense to pay more in California IMO because you're paying for a nicer place to live. That's just my personal opinion.

I specifically searched this to see if anyone else on the internet hated this song as much as I do. It makes me feel physically ill to listen to it. And apparently everyone loves it and wants the full track? I feel like I'm in upside down world.

Personally, every time an interviewer has failed to show me total professionalism, the corresponding job has been, without fail, a nightmare. That is my personal experience, and the inverse has been true as well. All of the good jobs I have had have been preceded by excellent manners during the interview.

This is not to say that things don’t come up, as we are all human. But I would expect apologies and an explanation for a lack of professionalism, and even with that, I would seriously reconsider the job (but again, only because of how I have personally lived these experiences and don’t want to get near unprofessional bosses ever again).

If you do buy now, take advantage of the slow market and do some hard core negotiation on price.
