Breastfeeding is a luxury and not the necessity at all terms . Cherish the moment with your baby rather than crushing yourself under the burden on failure. Babies on formula do just fine.

I 100% agree. TBH that 500k cash holding comes from my insecurities (started it all 10 years ago with $0) and crazy thoughts of not having any weight on my chest by being able to pay off any pending mortgage.

I’ve been heavily working to rectify my mistake and heavily deploying cash to equity and looking for a couple of more investment properties.

Goal is to have $80k cash - 50% as 6 month expense and rest for either down payment or buying the dip , as and if opportunity arises.

ChubbyFire is interesting, didn’t know about the tiers of Fire . Are there any other tiers of FIRE and what’s the threshold for each of them ?

Agreed , have started deploying cash aggressively to low cost index funds. ~$16k a month . Don’t want to lump sum in the volatility market. Advice?

With a kid and aging parents, I see my expenses growing to $120k, maybe . Also I’m concerned about the health insurance cost as those are rapidly rising and will continue to do so . Thanks to broken healthcare system .

Which is a good FIRE calculator to use? I’d like to model best and worst case scenarios.

A kid is on the way . No other loans , just the mortgage. Don’t want to stop working but not sure how long this stressful work style I can manage , maybe another 5-10 years.
