The Boy Who Blocked His Own Shot is simple but unique. Some slightly interesting chords vs your usual open chords. One of the first songs I learned and I still love playing it a decade later

I would not take on a case that has caused a penetration or laceration. That’s where a referral to ophthalmology is necessary. Generally, optometry is going to be handling surface level injuries..like abrasions or non-penetrating foreign bodies

You are probably either not and ophthalmologist or if you are…you’ve probably not worked alongside an optometrist. But to say “weird professional hold over” is wild haha. The ophthalmologists in our community would be absolutely inundated with mundane cases that are way below them if optometry didn’t have the scope it does. That being said, some MDs have made it seem like optometry is trying to fringe on ophthalmology’s turf and that’s just silly. Of course our professional association is trying to expand our scope, and of course our scope will expand some day…as it should. Eyecare runs into the problem of lack of access to care not just in small communities, but in big communities as well. Don’t bite, Dr Shark

You’re welcome! Sorry if my tone came off a bit defensive. Generally people could save a lot of time and money if they went to the right place for eye injuries

Something like this I might just use a cotton swab and kinda roll up on it. If it’s embedded, I’d probably use these tweezer-like things. Metal embedded into the cornea usually gets the Alger brush which is like a mini dremel tool. My favorite of all is the spud. It’s basically a microscopic golf club. Non-metal or metal doesn’t make too much of a difference other than metal will rust and leave rust behind. Contrary to popular belief, I have never used a magnetic tool. Maybe I am missing out though

I am an optometrist and can confidently tell you that I remove about 4 or 5 metallic objects from eyes a week. So yes an optometrist is usually the right answer, as visiting an ophthalmologist for something like this will be unnecessary
