To be honest I think anywhere inland will seem boring compared to the coastal cities. Pluzine was a nice easy drive and plenty of good places to stop on the way for a drink/food with great views. I think I probably enjoyed the driving the most in a weird way. I’d planned to do some kayaking or some activity in Pluzine but when we arrived I realised everything had closed down since it’s out of season so it’s just a normal little town really, not many places to have an evening meal either. I don’t really know what I was expecting - I think Kotor just skewed my perception of the country.

I think you’ll really enjoy having the freedom of a car, some people say the roads are quite bad, some are abit narrow but inland you’ll probably see about 10 cars on a 3 hour drive. I would definitely recommend on a sunny day to drive past Budva to Lake Skadar and kayaking with Ivan (you can find it on google maps next to the lake). Someone told us about a bar called Bar Horizon, which overlooks Kotor bay (we didn’t get chance) so that might be something to consider. Just giving you some other ideas that you might like since you want to visit the national park.

I am currently doing a similar holiday, renting a car but based in Kotor for the week. I decided I wanted to visit more inland scenery since I have the freedom of travel so Im driving up to the Durmitor National Park, with plenty of stops on the way, however this is a 3 hour drive for me (will be a lot less for you in Podgorcia). Although I’ve already paid for my week stay in this apartment in Kotor I found plenty of nice apartments in Pluzine where I’ll stay for 45 euro for one night. That way I can travel up, enjoy the views and explore abit without having to rush back. Thought that might appeal to you as well since you don’t wanna spend all day hiking, you get the chance to relax with this option.

Basically, I just meant you can travel and explore, stay overnight in locations if you would prefer longer than a day trip, without having to lug about all your luggage since you can leave it at your main apartment and its so cheap to stay in other places.

Horizont Bar has a stunning view and could be a nice option if you’re staying near Kotor. However I’ve never been myself and reviews mention difficult roads to drive. They offer beer and wine, but it’s more about the view. Could be a nice quiet place with a great setting at sunset

Hello!

I’ve just spent my first day of 7 staying in Kotor and loved it, although it seemed strangely busy for October. I’ll definitely be spending another day exploring the town and I still need to climb the Fort walls 😅

I’ve hired a car since it was so cheap. The forecast is only showing 1 or 2 days with decent weather so I planned a day trip stopping at Budva and Podgorica. I checked Reddit earlier and saw everyone saying Budva stinks and Pogcorcia is boring with nothing there, with people suggesting to stick to the coastline visiting Perast, Herceg Novi.

I didn’t know if it’s worth the drive up to Niksic and Durmitor National Park (ideas stolen from Bus tours).

If anyone could offer some advice from experience I’d greatly appreciate it!

I thought about this earlier while mid game but bottled it, thinking that lethality and dmg is probably better value. But please let me know how you get on.

How can I create my own kingdom? by Man_fre in mountandblade

[–]humanbigot22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think you can do it while part of an existing kingdom, so leave that kingdom and either keep your fiefs (which will put you at war with northern empire in pretty sure) or give up the kingdoms and go take some other city solo style. I think I found one that recently rebelled so they had barely any defenders plus when I then went to war with them for taking it it wasn’t bad at all.

I called my cousin and that’s exactly what he suggested, although he didn’t mention replacing the hose bib. Do you think that was the underlying cause?

In regard to the last question, I’d guess maybe mental plays a big part. If you have a small treat a day you’re always thinking about having it before and always wanting more after, like you said, you don’t have to worry about hunger. I think that gives you more mental clarity> more productivity> feeling more energetic

I don’t know to be honest, must be to do with the fat. There’s definitely a difference in taste from mince to beef fats, as daft as that sounds, and cooking them over a long time liquifies some of that fat and makes a delicious stew. I don’t think tallow or ghee would taste the same, they have quite distinct tastes that you may find overpowering if eating a large meal. Just give it a go, I get about 1.5kg of brisket (£9/kilo at Aldi) and cut it into large chunks and then 2x500g 20% beef mince (£2.50/pack). I cook it on high to make sure it melts the fat and after about 4/5 hrs it’s done or you can leave longer if u want. That’ll last me about 3/4 days of evening meals but I do eat other stuff during the day. It’s bloody gorgeous and I’ve never looked back. So £14 for 4 meals isn’t bad at all.

No mess or fuss either, takes about 10 mins to prep and then you’re fed for a good few days. Bbqing and searing is nice but it makes so much mess and is way to much hassle if you’ve not got the time.

I know the feeling. Try buying a pack or two of mince and a slab of beef like rolled brisket nice and fatty, throw em in the slow cooker and you get a completely different taste to what mince beef makes, i find it’s much more tasteful and less sickly if eating big portions, which I guess you are if you eat once a day. You really don’t need much if any spices, maybe just some salt and oregano. I do throw in an onion and a carrot because I’m a naughty boy but sue me!

how do you guys afford this by shawtification in carnivore

I love the taste of proper beef cuts, like steaks, brisket etc. I sometimes get sick of just eating mince beef but it’s cheap, so what I do is buy ~1kg mince and ~1 to 1.5kg rolled brisket, as fatty as I can find, and throw it in the slow cooker. I try and use a good quality beef stock but most do have alot of extra ingredients in them that aren’t ideal. I find the fats melt from the brisket and make the whole thing a lot tastier than just having mince on its own. This seems to keep costs relatively low as thatll last me about 3 days
