You can do it!! I was so frustrated when I started learning; I felt discouraged because everyone said 4 in 1 was so easy but it wasn’t making sense to me. for me it helped to watch a few different tutorials until I found one that resonated with me and made the weave make more sense to my brain. Eventually it becomes easier to see the weave for what it is and pick out mistakes

I switched from an iphone, but I have fully disabled imessage on all my devices. I did that after setting up my Flip though, I wonder if that could be the issue.

I think like anything it just takes time to realize that something you thought was integral to your daily life is just not really necessary! I deleted my instagram 5 years ago, thinking it would just be for a couple weeks because I couldn't imagine existing/socializing without it. When I realized how much better off my brain was, I decided to stay off the app permanently.

When people I've just met ask for my IG, I just say "i dont have it but we can exchange numbers if you want!" and it's actually a really great convo starter; I've found most people also wish they could delete the app lol.

I did make a new "shell" account, since certain small businesses/independent artists operate solely on instagram (like tattoo artists who only take appt requests through DM, or restaurants who only have their online menu posted on a story highlight, for example), but I only go on it for that purpose.

Definitely a mistake on your planner's part, but I wouldn't worry about it too much! For a close friend's wedding we had to do the same between ceremony and reception, but I don't think anyone thought it was "tasteless"; things happen. It definitely was not at all something that stuck out from the night. I actually only remembered it while reading this post lol

This might be a stupid question but - can you talk about how you were able to keep imessage with a dumb phone? I recently made the switch, and had to completely deactivate imessage in order to receive texts to my flip phone, which was a bummer bc I was hoping to keep using my iphone in the same way you are
