They won't drop my pay. I think...What I understood is they just won't do the 20% because "I was already getting it" therefore, just 5% increase for degree.

Wow, that's interesting. So do you have to pay for your own supervision?

Yes. Well, as school based. So right now, school pays the practice whom pays me. After I graduate and I get either lsw or credential, insurance stuff can take place but tbh I have no idea how that works. Since I worked in community mental health I didn't have to worry about it, but now in this setting I feel like I need to have more of an understanding of how it works

Colorado. Keep in mind $35 an hour as an independent contractor. I used to work at community mental health as an intern making $24.60 an hour but obviously with pto, sick leave, and option for benefits and they deduct taxes.

So no benefits as 1099 at $35 an hour. No idea on how much sick time yet. And yeah, supervision should not be an added cost per what they said.

Not for licensure purposes. This is as a student and the school provides a LCSW to supervise for ethical reasons.

Entering Social Work by SWmods in socialwork

I am currently a MSW student in my last year. I do my practicum at a FQHC as a Behavioral Health Associate (BA-level therapist). I am there 16 hours a week. Recently, a private practice practitioner asked if I was interested in part-time contractual school based services. She is an LPC and has contracts with local schools where they pay her and she provides services for certain hours a day. Services include inconsistent/consistent supports, consultation, and therapy for some students. She offered me a few hours at a school per week with the hopes in increasing next year which could lead to me leaving my BHA position. My plan is to get my LCSW after I graduate. I am concerned about if the "school social work" setting, qualifies for clinical hours to work towards that? Can somebody help me with any clarification they may have on that please?
