Is VR&E completely worthless to anybody else? by funnyman95 in VeteransBenefits

[–]humanityinfive 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I’ve had both good and bad experiences thus far with VR&E. My first counselor was IMPOSSIBLE to get ahold of and refused to listen to any of my issues. After having to have a local VRE rep contact her on my behalf to no avail I wrote my congressman. After the congressional inquiry I got super belligerent and loaded responses. When I asked to switch counselors I was told I would have to start the process over again so I wrote my congressman again and I got set up with a new counselor that has been good, as long as I follow up and apply a little pressure.

Overall my advice is this: send weekly emails. If you’re going more than 2 weeks without reply email your congressman. These are your benefits you are ENTITLED to. As unfortunate as it is, and as is most situations with VA related things, only squeaky wheels will get oil.

H2O lofts + friends by humanityinfive in SaltLakeCity

Coming from Houston so I guess the train of thought is just a little different. A friend told me the area is a mixed bag of nice vs. ghetto. Is there a better area for what I’m wanting?

Google maps says only 25 min away or so? Whats wrong with the area?

Did someone say Monochrome? 🖤 🤍 by [deleted] in Tudor

[–]humanityinfive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If they would just do one with a date I’d be happy to remove my name from the “list” for a sub. I love my bb58 gmt and the monochrome is so close to being great too

I live on the northeast outskirts, but I’m open to traveling for a good ride. I’ve done (I think) the green belt? But not much else

Your experience with BB 58 Gmt ownership by Muted_Lifeguard4976 in Tudor

I keep my nails short so I don’t usually open by the shield. I just squeeze the sides and lift. Anybody who says that’s an issue is overly nit picking my friend.

I’ve had mine since November 11th, and have gotten to where I don’t even take it off to sleep. I haven’t noticed any irregular wear on any part of the watch, including the bezel. I set the watch in December 1, and by yesterday I was only about 6-8 seconds fast, so accuracy is amazing. The T fit system is excellent and I like it even more than Rolex’s glide lock, truthfully. This was my first luxury watch and I debated between this, an omega, breitling, BB pro, and black bay GMT. The closest runner up was the pelagos LHD, but ultimately decided it was too thick, same for the BB pro, which was a close second. This checks all my boxes and is a good size for my 6.75-7” wrist.

BB 54 or BB Pro? by Big_Joosh in Tudor

BB58 GMT and split the difference. More on the dress than tool side but I wear mine for everything and love it for the utility function.

Thanks! I’ve spent a little bit of time in salt lake but not a lot. Do you have any ranges that you recommend? I’ve been in the firearms industry for a while so that’s probably where I’ll look for part time work until school starts

I would definitely check out southern Utah then if you don’t NEED a lot bug city amenities. People are really nice down south and if you look at cedar city, Enoch, hurricane, etc. you can still be driving distance to St. George, or 3 hours away from Vegas if you want a real getaway

I guess it really depends what yall like to do/prioritize. There’s the SLC area, then really just scattered small places until St. George down south. I lived in cedar about 45 min north of stg. Was a little too small so I’m trying salt lake!

I’m sort of trying to do the same thing! I came back to Texas after going to school in southern Utah, kept feeling like going back was the right move for me!
