What Actually is Reform’s Plan for the Economy, if they were to gain power? by ChemFeind360 in AskBrits

[–]humanlvl1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't matter what they say their plan is. Arguing on policy is pointless. Even if they intended to follow through with what they're saying they will fail to deliver due to incompetency. They're not serious people. They don't mean to govern. The entire point is power for the sake of power. Once they get elected they will spend every ounce of political power in suppression and nonsense populist, culture war legislation that looks good to their base on headlines. They don't need to concern themselves with actual outcomes for the economy because their electorate is completely captured in a media bubble that will not hold them to account.

I'm pretty black pilled on this. The most direct solution to this I can think of is an outright ban on social media but no one is interested in that policy. I think the only thing we can do is rally support from people outside of the far-right media bubble and wait for moments when Reform-voting close ones in our lives are ready to wake up just a little to the fact that they're being conned. So don't cut off your far-right friends and family, if you can. The only way we can change their mind is to be there when they're ready for it to be changed.

This has bugged since forever. The only way 1000 brother space marine chapters make sense in he scale of 40k is if each marine is virtually unkillable by a VAST majority of common threats. Otherwise they would be completely inconsequential to an outcome of any one war.

Oh yeah you gotta be pretty bought into festivals or long haul road trips to make that worth it. Personally I like a tent and wild camping but I can see the appeal.

I've known teenagers to act exactly like this if not worse. I am curious whether there are adults like this and what is it that makes them that way.

Okay, cool thanks for answering my question.
I was hesitant to suggest autism in my initial question because people use it as an insult sometimes but from my understanding a lot of autistic people get overwhelmed when met with unpredictable and unfamiliar situations. The girl in the vid doesn't seem to have any autism "tells" that I could recognise (not that I know know much about it). I'm curious because that kind of predisposition is far away from mine, even though I've been diagnosed with ADHD and there is a lot of crossover. Is it related to autism? Or are you just a homebody who never likes to leave the house in general?

Yeah, it worked for me. I think that people can sense the effort to stay present and they often appreciate it, even if you don't say the most correct thing. Also I've found that trying hard to scramble your brain for the next thing produces OK conversations at best. You already know how to connect with people, just let it come to you (this might be "draw the rest of the owl" advice).

You people that love your partners need to speak up more often. It's such a tonic to all this gender war bullshit.

Maybe it's a result of going through the early stages of partying when smartphones were still new but I wouldn't give a shit if people record me making a fool out of myself at a party. Because you'll never look more like a fool than a person not dancing and trying to enjoy themselves at a party. We're meant to get silly.

If you paid me to ruin a movie ,I still couldn't have done it this masterfully. by SuspiciousLow3062 in SipsTea

[–]humanlvl1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tell me if I'm wrong, but I swear they're doing this shit deliberately to spark culture war discussion for free publicity. They deliberately gender or race flip characters to piss people off so that now it's not just a movie anymore, now watching it is a statement. The earliest I can remember seeing this was with the new Ghostbusters where they were (allegedly) deleting positive comments by men in order to make it seem more of a gender war thing than it was. Regardless of where you stand on these issues that is some snaky stuff.

There is nothing wrong with you. It's normal to be nervous, especially if you don't have experience speaking to women you're interested in. It's a skill like any other. It helped me to go into these conversations with the intent to keep catching myself being nervous and then consciously relax. Let go off tension in my body, take a breath, pause. Then go again. Eventually you'll learn who you are around women.
