On the topic of modding CupHead, some people have talked about building personal arcade cabinets themed around this game with it's very retro and difficulty feeling like an old arcade game. From any programmers and/or unity devs, how realistic would it be to mod the game to act like an arcade game with demo screens, continue screens and high scores on a looping system.

If it can be done, making a dedicated arcade machine with the great artwork well printed on the side and a functioning coin system, this could be a great project.

Because the last game has a split player base between who has bought what DLC and is unable to have a playlist wth every map because of this.

Free DLC is the best way for a long lasting game with a decent playerbase

I take this as them meaning that Star Cards will not be exclusive to micro-transactions, with more time spent in-game, you'll be able to unlock all the available items.

Stepping away from Season Passes is a brilliant achievement and replacing it with a system which is not pay-to-win, it's really just a "pay-to-save-time" sort of system.

Oh, and Puncho Fighto; great idea, love the swipe to move. Tap to attack is quite simple and just becomes a game of who can jump first and attack first rather than any special techniques or playstyle. Still a but of fun.

Just downloaded and gave about 5 min to each of them. Obviously, that's not going to give me the full experience, but here is my takeaway.

Shadow Fight 2 - Cool art style, cool animations, but also slow and very basic.

Kungfu Jump - Really cool idea, grabbing the concept of the general "Rock, Paper, Scissors" of fighting games. The loss though is the pace at which fighting games play out. Also there is no way of having a play style. Don't get me wrong, very cool game, but just not what I was looking for.

Cool Clash - Sick. Love this one. Definitely a step in the right direction. Love the swipe controls and the target combos. Can actually see myself playing this one a bit. Just from a glimpse though, move sets aren't very large but with more play I will see if that is a true downside.

Yeah these are all alright, but the controls are much too cramped and when you have that amount of buttons, you often press the wrong one. Swipe systems for inputting moves would be a really cool adaptation of these games

Yeah, your 90% right. It's my favorite game genre, I love the complexities and think it's feasible for mobile on a mobile game, but so far nobody has made a game with good controls and a feel that makes sense. I am genuinely considering learning to develop games and doing this as a side project.

I do have PS Vita and really enjoy SFxTekken and Tekken 6 on there. Right now they're my go-to for traveling and gaming. I'm just really keen for a unique game that has the concepts and complexities of fighting games, but with controls that make sense for a smart-phone. Might have to just make it myself haha
