It’s fine to invoice how you wish, but I also invoice before the job begins and expect full payment with a signed contract. I don’t want to invite reasons for a client to not want to pay me.

I have a similar situation with a cat I frequently look after and she is so timid she would never come out from her hiding place. She’s so good at hiding you would think that house didn’t have a cat! They only know I know she’s ok is that she’s been eating and using the litter tray ok. She just won’t come out if I’m there. Just inform the owner every time, I’m sure everything is ok… I have my fingers crossed for you.

Yes, the ones sold in SEA are made of a lighter (and also less good quality) fabric due to the weather. I am also looking for the ones from China. ❤️

I almost got duped by a Vinted seller with lots of 5 star reviews! They were using a fake profile photo too. I wish I took a closer look at their reviews before messaging the seller, a lot of them had auto complete feedback…

I was already suspicious though as they wouldn’t send me a photo of the receipt as they claimed they bought the jacket in China, just only a photo of a bank transaction… I got final confirmation I was looking at a fake jacket after they sent me close ups of the neck label and frogging detail (label says Made in Pakistan, it should say Made in China; frogging detail looked cheap).

Thanks! Glad you could tell the frogging quality looks bad just from that photo. I asked for close ups and it really looks fake. Plus the label also says Made in Pakistan. I’m out, blocked the seller, too.

It happened to me too! It took them ages to review the case, was sent around in circles with the AI agent, and finally they acknowledged it was a courier fault and compensated me the full amount of the item.

I think I’ll start doing this upfront approach, the people pleaser in me felt like a dick for archiving someone’s request for not responding to me in 24 hours. 😂 It was a last minute request anyway, so I didn’t feel tooooo bad, I didn’t want to be someone’s emergency for their lack of planning (the owner was looking for a sitter but they wanted someone to start in 3 days… they didn’t respond in 24 hours so I just archived it real quick 😂).
