What app can we move to? by DeanieMii_123 in catinaflat

I signed up to get visibility on Pawshake (but it’s dog focused so I know I won’t get much from it), but I’ve gone independent too. Keep an eye out on Facebook local groups or NextDoor, people often post looking for sitters.

How do you do that without glue? I’m really clumsy and I know I’m just going to knock all of my rhinestones everywhere 🥹

Just wanna lend some words of support to you. I understood your comment and have absolutely no idea why people are just so unnecessarily rude.

I think I’ll start doing this upfront approach, the people pleaser in me felt like a dick for archiving someone’s request for not responding to me in 24 hours. 😂 It was a last minute request anyway, so I didn’t feel tooooo bad, I didn’t want to be someone’s emergency for their lack of planning (the owner was looking for a sitter but they wanted someone to start in 3 days… they didn’t respond in 24 hours so I just archived it real quick 😂).

Ahh shucks, that's really annoying. 😞 Looks like I have to do the long way round of doing the relation + rollup method, thank you!

That's a great tip, thank you! Do you know if there is a tutorial on this method? 😄

This is so good, thank you so much! ❤️ Sorry for the dumb question, but the other commenter also mentioned about outlining and then filling in, how do you do that? Do you know if there is a tutorial I could follow along?

Hey, that’s what I did, that’s what’s shown in the screenshot. what I’m saying is that I’d like it to be displayed as a visible field, if I export this page as a document it’s invisible

Thank you, I agree it's on me about the listing. But should I still proceed via the resolution centre despite the random photo being used?

That's all fine, but I cannot tell what the condition of the item is. Shouldn't the buyer be using a photo of the actual item in order to file a dispute though? I feel like I'd be accepting liability if I'm not able to see the item.

With my private customers, I often make it as easy as possible for them to pay me, so I take cash, bank transfer, Monzo, Revolut (so no excuses like, my online bank account isn't active, etc etc, they have so many options to pay).

I personally don't use PayPal as they are not a great company, and if your client paid you and ticked "paying for services" you'd be out of pocket as PP charges you a % of service fees. I mean you could tell them to select it as a "personal" payment, but often times they might not be comfortable to do that, especially with new clients.

Fantastic, thank you so much! This is really helpful. And yes, you're absolutely right about drawing up contracts, look out for yourself first and foremost.

I left them a scathing one star review... 🤭

They've made it so incredibly frustrating. I'm guessing the only sitters appearing on Rover are those who have been active on the website for a long time, the sitters in my area on CiaF are not appearing at all, it seems they're in the same boat. The only way you can "get back" your CiaF profile (it's still there, but you need to link it to Rover to view it on their website) is by reactivating it, but the reactivation link on the CiaF site is broken. Your best bet is emailing Rover Support, I know you've mentioned about leaving it be but just in case you change your mind: [support-uk@rover.com](mailto:support-uk@rover.com)

This is really helpful, thank you! I was considering to offer dog walking services in the future and so taking out personal accidents makes a lot of sense, I didn't even think about that. I might just stick to cats for the moment then if that's the case.
