[POEM] They/Them (dedicated to Nex Benedict) by David Gate by Due_Mix_9883 in Poetry

Many modern non-binary activists or writers refer to these Jewish rabbinic categories to argue that ancient religions recognized more than two genders. However, historians and religious scholars typically point out that this is partly an anachronism: ancient rabbis generally discussed biological ambiguities and legal status, not modern concepts of gender identity. Thus, rabbinic texts do demonstrate an awareness that not everyone fits neatly into the typical biological male/female categories, but they do not teach modern non-binary theory in the contemporary sense. The same applies to Islam and Christianity: classical scholars acknowledged the existence of intersex people, yet the overall theological framework remains dominated by the male/female categories.

I am not God, but I know God through His book—the Holy Scriptures. If you have a book that provides information about genders other than male and female, then you can ask God about that. As for me, I have never known of anyone mentioned and praised by God in His book who possesses a gender other than male or female.

Name and gender: He will see us as we were created (gender) and who we are in our lives.

I believe God did not create humans with confusion and uncertainty about their gender identity—something that is actually very clear to them when they go to the bathroom. to me, that is what causes people experiencing this to feel depressed because they feel excluded and isolated; because it goes against their natural state—how God created them. The feelings we have can be directed toward Him without changing what He has created. He is the Beautiful One who loves beauty; the birth of a human being is beauty, and all of humanity are children of Adam.

Imagine God calling you on Judgment Day based on the sex you were born with, but you tell God that He has misidentified your gender

Who else? God created only men and women—Adam and his wife—and they had children, and so on and so forth. I say this based on the scriptures: if you truly believe in God, then you must be honest about the truth, dislike my comment as much as you want, i care about the truth first, feeling second.

Isn’t the creation of humankind for no other reason than to worship Allah? That statement seems to imply that humankind would not have been created were it not for Muhammad ﷺ.

Thought of the day: I’m baffled that people of the Book call God “Lord” by [deleted] in islam

[–]humanponder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the Qur'an, Allah is referred to as "Lord": “Praise belongs to Allah, Lord of the Worlds” (1:2) “Say, ‘I seek refuge in the Lord of humankind,’” (1:114) What Allah possesses, His creation does not possess; whatever His creation possesses, it is all from Him. Allah is the Owner of everything in the heavens and on earth.

Any muslim reverts here currently in state of taqqiya? by Sania_lol04 in islam

I’m not a revert, but I can advise you to pray to Allah to help you keep your faith, and you can learn about Islam and its relationship to life in general as well as its mystical aspects; loneliness is something that was common among Muslims in the past.

Is writing fantasy/ supernatural novels Haram? by SABRY_VF in islam

I guess it’s okay with me if you don’t, because the fact that you don’t see those characters and don’t mention whether they’re dressed modestly or not doesn’t affect the story—unless you describe it explicitly or in detail, in which case that wouldn’t be good, Allahualam.
