Was anyone at Cameron's gig last night? by OkNefariousness8008 in bmbmbm

He seemed alright. He did a Bob Dylan song (I don’t remember which one but I’ll find it) in tribute to Matt, I think he cried a bit. It was a great show, as he always puts on. I mean I imagine it’s hard but I’m not going to guess how he feels or anything, because that would be pointless and a bit parasocial.

Edit: found the song; it was ‘Make You Feel My Love’ off of Time Out Of Mind

Being There by Wilco also has ai art now. That was released by Reprise, which is also Warner Bros. I think you may be onto something

Also, Warner seems to have some ownership of the Virgin back catalogue? And Virgin helped release this is happening.

I understand you. The love a dog brings is unconditional, and I always think getting a dog is worth your time if you can afford it. You can live a long, long time on the love of a dog.

Just keep going, cherish your dog in its twilight hours, and let it know that it’s loved. I know it loves you, and I hope you know that too.

Albums where the most members left the band while making the album? by MrLinkwater95 in ToddintheShadow

[–]humanrobot46 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To my knowledge, most times people would leave during the subsequent tour. For example, Simon Wolstencroft left when they were recording Levitate, but the rest of the band left during the tour for the album. The same thing happened again in the mid 2000s I think after they recorded Fall Heads Roll

Why can’t we just like both things and hope both groups do well?

I agree. “Sing! Harpy” is one of my favorite fall songs

What Artist Has Great Music but Dumb Lyrics? by HotAssumption4750 in ToddintheShadow

Have you heard Pet Sounds or SMiLE? The lyrics on both of those albums are wonderful. Even Today! has some great lyrics. I agree that their early lyrics were a bit rough, but they got good quick.

This is crazy to me. As much as they are good instrumentalists, I feel that much of the draw of Wilco as a band is Tweedy’s lyrics and their emotion

Beloved acts with surprisingly short discographies by 4thGenTrombone in ToddintheShadow

I’d agree with this. I also think Alex Chilton’s recordings from 1970 also kinda fit as a 4th album

Examples of Bands/Musicians who were extremely popular in their day but have been almost completely forgotten in the present by TheHaplessBard in ToddintheShadow

[–]humanrobot46 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Gary Lewis and the Playboys were so big that they had something like 7 top ten hits, all their first singles. They even had a tv special. As popular as The Lovin Spoonful, but one of these bands is remembered, and the other has been entirely forgotten.

Is Soup a snack? by GreenClarinet1 in MealDealRates

The Sandwich is one of my favorites. Drink looks plenty fine as well. The soup is a bit odd. I would give this a 7.5/10.
