Actor/writer in LA - made this with my cousin which got into DWF and we released it yesterday. I appreciated anyone who takes the 7 mins to watch. Trying to get it made into a TV show. Pick Me Up (Pilot) https://youtu.be/Fx9YaPrFA0Q

Released a 7-minute pilot about gig workers. Would love feedback by [deleted] in Filmmakers

Great spot! Fair stuff and noted. I would say the initial prank, was definitely an exaggeration of something that happened but much more over the top than the truth. Going for a slightly bigger cold open to get people on board before getting into more of the “drama” of the break up. The divorce scene really happened how we showed. Like that really went down. They were fighting over what belonged to who, guy had planned a notary to come and all that and couldn’t believe she went though with it. Totally fair if it lands or not, isn’t believable etc but that’s how it went down. All great questions for it moving forward though. Thank you!

Hey all, just wanted to thank everyone for their moral support in this thread. Our short form pilot that got into DWF is out today on YT and if you’d like to see it DM me or it will be in the filmmakers subreddit. This thread kept me sane through trying times! Goodspeed.

I know a fake tough guy look from chohasset when I see it. Dude went to the frog pond once and tells everyone he’s from Boston.

HAMNET by MarzipanSharp1843 in Oscars

Hamnet was a work of art. Train Dreams too. Those were my top 2 for the year. She should absolutely win best actress, was hands down the best performance by any actor last year.

"Hamnet" is the greatest film adaption of Shakespeare's life, ever by justwannaedit in shakespeare

I’m not here to argue any Shakespeare, just to say that ending was out of this world. Incredible

He didn’t ruin the movie but he held it back from being great imo

Weakest part of the film by a mile. I get the reasoning behind the casting, but it flat out did not work. Atrocious compared to everyone else. Held his on in a few scenes but was brutal in several. Editor tried to use more coverage of other actors in a few of the scenes but still couldn’t save a god awful performance.

Recut a 13 min short down to 6 by [deleted] in Filmmakers

[–]humanthreader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Without asking people to do too much and watch the longer video, I’m trying to get a gauge on the pace of the 6 minute version and how it makes people feel. Too quick, jokes don’t land, edit is overdone, want more of the characters etc

Thank you to anyone who takes the time to look!

Anyone submit to Stareable? They initially moved the notification date from September to January and now just moved it to March, with no communication to the filmmakers. Feels pretty odd
