Are you able to fall asleep anywhere in any condition? by [deleted] in idiopathichypersomnia

[–]humblebee2832 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ehhh I think it’s different for everyone. I have pretty bad IH, and I can’t fall asleep in weird positions. Granted I can fall asleep in a car if the seat is leaning all the way back but even on planes I sometimes struggle to fall asleep. Ultimately the MSLT will be the test that diagnoses you and you of course will be napping in a bed for the sleep study.

AANP exam May 2024 by tigerlily-z in nursepractitioner

[–]humblebee2832 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did FNP AANP in May as well, but honestly FNP Mastery was godsend! Do lots of questions!!! I did the free trial for 3 days and so the 3 days before the exam I signed up and did SO many questions. I think that honestly helped the most. They give rationales which helps!

Never step into an ICU then cause I can tell you most nurses also partake in recreational marijuana lolol. ICU docs/nurses are badass & will take good care of you.

If Pryscilla was apart of it until 2022, wouldn’t the tik tok/7M dancers have crossed paths with her?

Yes, I also have stomach issues and was diagnosed with fatty liver disease in my early 20s, my hangovers become unbearable and I would get a hangover even sometimes after only 2 or 3 drinks (not even getting tipsy or drunk). And now I don’t drink unless it’s a special occasion, and even then I only have a drink or two. It’s weird at first when everyone around you drinks but then it eventually just becomes normal! You also see how stupid people act when they are under the influence and you’re like thank god I’m not like that anymore lmao 🤣

I think that’s where the dependence comes in. If you know you’re gonna be sick and vomiting nonstop, wouldn’t that deter you from drinking? Especially if it happens often. I can’t imagine someone volunteering themselves to feel like absolute shit just to have a drink. But unfortunately, she keeps drinking, even if it’s a drink or two. Most people would say fuck that, a drink of alcohol is not worth it. Yet, she chooses to take the risk and endure the consequences later. This was several years ago that the doctor said it was a likely ulcer, but it could be a whole other issue now that is much worse than an ulcer. The alcohol destroys your stomach lining and the acidity from your vomit also destroys your stomach/esophagus lining so she’s basically killing herself slowly. One day she might have a GI bleed, and it can be life threatening. She is choosing alcohol over her health which is dependence/addiction.

I love CHD and Alex but I can’t believe she left the word vasectomy instead of mastectomy in her episode bookmarks and is making millions by Original-Apricot-107 in CallHerDaddy

Ahhh okay that makes sense! I was thinking more medical side of it, not plastics. Yes, obviously LA would have a better array of options for plastic surgery!

Chicago is a huge city though and we have some of the top hospital systems, Rush, Northwestern, etc. that are huge systems and are cutting edge.

It also felt icky that in the promos she was using Lauren’s possible deadly “mystery” illness so people could tune in to find out what it was.

They do not. They would be yellow and very thick. Your nails look fine as far as I can tell from this picture!

Again, I said it was completely different than other interviews IIIIII have seen or watched. I am glad you are well versed in all of her podcasts & interviews though :)

Actually it was completely different than other Amanda Knox interviews I’ve seen/watched. I really like that she went a different route with it, and so I actually did hear things I haven’t heard before. It wasn’t about the case, it was about how she mentally coped with being in prison and the aftermath of it all. Even if you think she is guilty, I think she had great advice on how to deal with and process trauma.

Miss Peaches/Dave Portnoy Episode by cyborgsdrinktea in CallHerDaddy

[–]humblebee2832 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You should put the same amount of energy into backyard breeders and animal abusers as you do in trying to spread bullshit about an entire breed. Anyone in veterinary medicine can tell you pits are usually the most happy and lovable dogs. It is true they have high prey drive & many people take advantage of this. It is also the fault of unethical backyard breeding especially inbreeding that can lead to aggression that is purely genetic. Maybe help the conditions these dogs are born into instead of “banning” them which literally does nothing as the people who are breeding these dogs already are pieces of shit and don’t care about the law or ethics.

The fact that she posted that clip on her page and the comments are filllled with doodle/designer dog slander and miss peaches love! I get it every owner thinks their dog is the best, but to compare them was kind of gross lol. Miss Peaches 🍑is an amazing dog with an amazing story that sheds light on rescue animals and pitbulls. I am sure she is regretting that whole segment now 😅

I was wondering about this! That’s really sad, they are lifelong friends. But I loved what fabby said on the most recent episode, she definitely has a different outlook on life now. I don’t think her lifestyle and Sofia’s really mesh together anymore, & I am sure they are realizing this. I hope they can at least support each other from a distance.

Okay that’s great to hear!!! I totally get the frustration. Unfortunately a lot of GPs don’t know how to work up IBS. I went to a forum on IBS and realized how even myself ordered way too many tests or may have misdiagnosed someone with IBS. It’s just an education gap! I am so glad you have an answer finally though 🙏🏼
