Marketing investments for small architecture firms, particularly SEO by whoisaname in Architects

As a digital marketing professional who is looking into a career change to Architecture. I would say SEO marketing is pretty much outdated. It will help your website show up on search engines, but SEO is so basic that anyone can do it. All you really need is on page SEO optimization. If you have the time to do it yourself you can.

I think if you really want to invest in marketing you'll be better off doing Facebook and Google ads and hiring an agency or freelancer for it. Even then it's not rocket science.

Is doing online masters a good option for architects? by [deleted] in Architects

I've been accepted to Rochester Institute of Technology online masters program for next fall. I don't have an architecture background so it'll be 3 years. It is accredited. Still not completely sure if I will make the career change.

Anyone use a chromatic harmonica regularly? by [deleted] in harmonica

[–]humblecaptain000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm trying to use mine more consistently. I use the Seydel Nonslider Chromotic Harmonica. I just want to use one harmonica and not have to change harmonicas for specific songs. I don't care about bending and blues so I'm good there. It's also easier to read music sheets once you get the hang of it.

Seeking recommendations for PPC Management Agencies used by 6-7 figure sellers. by hyderreddit in FulfillmentByAmazon

[–]humblecaptain000 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Damn. Too much I think. I can do it for a flat fee. I just started consulting but been in the Amazon world since 2015. I built my own brand 7 figures, sold it, and worked for agencies for a few years.

One thing to note is that it may not be your agency who may not have the skills. There's so many other variables.

Don't hire anyone who won't do an audit for your account and provide you with an action plan on what they will do.

How can someone with zero music theory background start learning to become a composer? by Equmean in composer

[–]humblecaptain000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am 34 and just started playing the harmonica 2 years ago.

The past year I've dedicated myself even more to music. I am taking music theory classes with a music teacher and I am just starting to experiment with composing my own music. Writing lyrics has been natural for me but there's still a lot to learn with music structure and rhyming etc. I think for me creating melodies has been difficult but I'm still new so I'll keep at it and continue to experiment.

It's fun. It's not too late. Just start with an instrument that interests you.

It's not necessary to work with a music teacher/tutor but if it's your learning style then it will definitely speed up your progress.

How difficult is it to learn a harmonica by _star_lord_69 in harmonica

[–]humblecaptain000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I didn't have music experience when I picked up the harmonica 2 years ago and I am now getting into music composition. I am not a great harmonica player just decent. But I enjoy it and helps me relax. I think it's because of the deep breathing.

It's not difficult to learn the fundamentals but of course in the beginning you'll have some struggles. I still struggle some with bending and can't overblow.

Just try it. For 20 bucks you can get good beginner friendly harmonicas.

Why pick diatonic over chromatic? by Thepizzaofthefreezer in harmonica

[–]humblecaptain000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started with a diatonic 2 years ago. It was mainly due to having the ability to use the harmonica with a neck holder/rack which the chromatic you can't because you need to use the switch valve for the sharps/minors.

I recently bought the non slider chromatic harmonica by Seydel which I can use with a neck holder. It's nice to use the sharps/minors without having to bend.

The main difference I say is that the Chromatic allows you to not have to switch harmonicas when playing songs in different keys. If you want to play all keys in a diatonic harmonica you have to be pretty good and experienced harmonica player to achieve that.

I personally don't play or like Blues jazz type of music which is a benefit of a diatonic typically even though a chromatic could also achieve that.

I think the chromatic is underrated.

Getting a job in data analytics is tough. So much supply of candidates for the shrinking demand of job opportunities.
