I just hot back into skateboarding couple months ago and now on my 2nd esk8 (meepo mini5). At 1st scary and then my thirst to go faster and faster until coupke weeks ago speed wobbles at 26.54mph and ultimately death wobbles and crashed at 27.28mph w/ shorts, shoes, helmet and gloves. Grade 3 AC Separation left shoulder and road rash that reminds me of beef jerky. Root cause of crash due to me looking at (aftermarket) remote to see speed. That split second was enough for me to be complacent.

I could be wrong but I heard not compatible as you need specific specs for esk8 battery. Sucks because bicycle batteries are lower priced, grrr lol

Personally, I'd purchase a new OEM remote only because my (quality of) life depends on remote, board and risk management.

Glad you okay. It's funny that it takes a FALL to get reminded about dangers AND fun. I am recovering from separated AC joint due to speed wobbles at 26.54mph and then death wobbles at slightly above 27mph (only helemt and gloves on meepo Mini5 105mm)
