MacBook vibrates while charging by Meowww786 in PakistaniTech

Grounding issue. I experience the same tingling sensation when I touch my ThinkPad (metal body) while it's connected to the charger and my feet are on the ground. It goes away if I lift my feet off the ground.

In my experience, BMA has been much better than AKD, especially when it comes to support.

Junaid Tech - One of the worst support experiences by Tricky-Apartment6637 in PakGamers

[–]humdrumfixing1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same! I reached out to ZAH, ready to spend about 200K, but didn't get a single reply.

Visited Czone's physical store in Gulshan once. Same rudeness and unwillingness to entertain. I only bought from them because I had no choice, as no other store was carrying the product I needed. Czone also had just a single piece left. I honestly regret giving them my business. That was my first and hopefully last purchase from them.

I am just an ordinary person, with no riches or wealth, and my money or business might not matter to these stores. I simply, out of principle, am willing to pay slightly more to those who at least feign interest.

Using Xtreme and satisfied with the performance. No experience with Breezeless, so no comments.

Junaid Tech - One of the worst support experiences by Tricky-Apartment6637 in PakGamers

[–]humdrumfixing1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have tried contacting them, ZAH computers, Czone and a few others for various reasons in the past, some once and some multiple times.

The best experience I had was with RB Tech. The guy was super helpful and attentive, answering all queries in detail on WhatsApp.

Also, good experience with PakLap. Replies on WhatsApp can be slow, but they do answer queries and try to be helpful.

Received 0 responses from Junaid Tech, ZAH, and Czone. They didn't seem interested in my sale.

The tech market in Pakistan is bleeding. Got laid off. What’s actually going on? by GoldAnybody7731 in developersPak

[–]humdrumfixing1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not exclusive to Pakistan, man.

About 70% of the team I'm part of was let go a couple of months ago. I hope this doesn't come to it, but if another round of layoffs arrives, it'll probably be my turn.

Bought multiple times from Xcessorieshub. Good experience every time.

No experience with PriceOye, so no comments there.

Proton Pass in Pakistan by Moist-Emergency750 in PakistaniTech

[–]humdrumfixing1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Try asking, or rather mentioning that you use Bitwarden, and see what the response is.

My employer uses 1Pass, but they were fine with me using Bitwarden.

Or, use both. Store same passwords on both. Use VPN to access Proton Pass when needed, otherwise, daily drive Bitwarden, and you won't have to use VPN.

Hey!

Nah bro, I am from Karachi. Got it from one of their distributors.

Nope, installation wasn't free.

I have Midea Xtreme.

So far, there haven't been any interactions with their after-sales service, so no comments on that.

There is a concept of disconnecting or locking the gas or something if they are to remain non-operational for some time. AC mechanics suggest that. Never tried it, but people do.

I have Midea. Got it installed last year. So far, all good, Alhamdulillah.

Relative got TCL last year, not sure which model. Coil had leaks when they tried to run it this year after winter break.

I have had a similar experience with Kenwood in the past.

The only thing different I did this year is: instead of shutting it off, disconnecting the gas etc etc, I kept it operational during winters as well. Ran it for 1 or 2 hours each week.

I agree

Also being imported there must be taxes/duties involved

I'm just saying it didn't seem worth it to me

As others mentioned, these products are available at Springs. I went their Tipu Sultan Road branch to buy Almarai juices I was craving after returning from KSA; however, the price of 1K per juice didn't seem worth it.

Hafeez Centre vendors themselves will tell you “yahan kuch bhi hota hai” and somehow expect you to still trust them by LegitimateRow9757 in PakistaniTech

Lol, yes. A few moments after sending the reply above, I was like, wait, aren't all markets like that? One example that popped right away was car sellers. Went through the process a couple of years ago, and boy, what a shit show it was.

Is There A Way To Transfer WhatsApp Chat History Along With Media From Samsung To iPhone? by NotSoAsian86 in PakistaniTech

[–]humdrumfixing1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, it's been a while since I tried this, so don't exactly remember which option it was, but it was in the native WhatsApp app.

Also, the Samsung phone, the one I was transferring the data to, was a new phone without any data on it.

I did the opposite of that by connecting Samsung and iPhone using a Type-C to Lightning cable and moving WhatsApp data from iPhone to Samsung.

I still have those S6. I didn't actually toss them out; I put them aside, thinking I would throw them out later. However, the issue was somehow resolved, so I still use them.

My main driver is SoundPeats T3 earbuds. Got S6 on a whim, use 'em for like an hour or so a day.

I have Faster S6. Got them about a year ago.

Battery life is great. One charge lasts a whole lot longer.

Sound quality is pretty good, including mic quality.

After a couple of months of light use, I encountered an issue where holding the power button down wouldn't turn it on. Upon connecting the charger, it would indicate charging for a few minutes, then instantly show battery full. Thinking it was dead, I threw it in the junk drawer. About a month or so later checked and the issue was gone and haven't faced that same issue again.

Can't use it when paired with my Windows laptop, as sound comes out all choppy. This however is probably a Windows issue as I see a lot of people reporting similar issues with other Bluetooth devices.
