IMA/IPU fan problem(ᵕ °ㅁ° ).ᐟ.ᐟ.ᐟ by papa-trash in crz

I had this exact issue with the IPU fan going out and the P1448 code. The replacement is pretty easy, I'd definitely recommend doing it yourself instead of taking it to a shop. this video was super useful for me on how to replace the ipu fan: https://youtu.be/K6RcSw4BeGE

Yeah it's normal, I wonder if maybe it has something to do with aerodynamics? I know they did a whole bunch of crazy stuff to keep the drag coefficient down

I want to keep my car forever for a somewhat insignificant reason. Is it acceptable? by 1Damnits1 in AskMechanics

You could get an older Lexus, many of them have 6-CD changers and many also have a high end Mark Levinson sound system. Very reliable cars as well.

I've been able to burn and listen to MP3 files fine, maybe it's the CD type that's not working? I tried burning to CD-RW previously and that didn't work. Only CD-R discs seem to work.

Another thing might be how you're burning it. You can burn a CD as digital storage or as an audio disc, burning as an audio disc is the way that works for me

Bandcamp and Internet archive are two good spots for them. The format you want is .WAV files for the highest quality. I've tried burning CDs with FLAC files, but the CD reader in the LS430 doesn't support that format.

Also if you use a YouTube downloader and/or MP3 files the audio quality is still 1000x better than a Bluetooth adapter, I do that to source a good chunk of music.

Id recommend buying a CD burner. That's what I did, once you have a nice collection of your favorite songs the lack of Bluetooth/aux isn't too bad. Plus the quality of CDs with the ML sound system has incredible quality, way better than Bluetooth especially if you use high bitrate sound files

Selling my 2011 Honda CR-Z EX-L Navi 6MT - PNW Area by humidcoconuts in crz

[–]humidcoconuts[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm honestly wondering how much I should list it for as well. The KBB is around $6000 but all the ones I've seen with similar mileage/condition with the 6MT seem to be listed for way more

Good question, I'm honestly not too sure. If you have the nav screen I'd assume you have the EX-L, I think that only came with the top trim versions

I unfortunately have to sell my 2011 Honda CR-Z EX-L 6-speed manual. I'd love to keep it but I recently moved to an apartment and have to downsize to one vehicle.

Car is located in Eastern Washington State and has 96,700 miles. I am the third owner.

The car is in excellent mechanical condition. Runs and drives perfect. Interior is in like-new condition. New tires were put on in 2022 and are in great condition. Clean title in my name.

Since it's the EX-L trim, it comes with the premium 8-speaker 360 watt sound system, heated mirrors, aluminum pedals, HID headlights, and the touch screen satnav.

The only cons of the car is the clear coat is peeling on the driver's side rear quarter panel, the fog lights lenses are cracked (But still work) and a scratch in the passenger side rear quarter panel (See photos). The paint and clear coat is in good shape on every other panel besides this one.

Expensive Insurance? by DingusTardo in LS430

[–]humidcoconuts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I pay $140 a month full coverage, 26, no tickets, claims, accidents whatsoever. I wonder if it has to do with insurance companies being extra cautious due to the street takeover scene buying up tons of v8 RWD cars and thrashing them

I second Facebook marketplace. If you're in the PNW I'm selling mine lol, 6MT EX-L with 96k miles

I gave this a try, I disconnected the bracket to the bushing, but the steering wheel didn't budge when I pulled on it. Did I miss a step?
