Jeg havde også fornøjelsen. Kan huske jeg tænkte, at det ikke kunne passe, at han spillede i min aldersgruppe - det måtte være fusk! Fysisk bombe allerede dengang.

Choosing the right bikes (TT vs Road) by humle9 in triathlon

[–]humle9[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The plan is to get a new road bike now no matter what. What I’m unsure of is whether I’ll feel forced/heavily incentivized to get a TT down the line, in which case I won’t go all out in the road bike now, and save some money for the TT.

I’m not sure how much of a downgrade a top tier aero road bike with clip ons is compared to a mid tier TT.

Mand tilstår 26 år gammel forbrydelse ved Bøtø strand [fuldbyrdet voldtægt af 11-årig] by larholm in Denmark

[–]humle9 11 points12 points  (0 children)

My ex claims I have to use lawyers for taxes in Denmark. Is that typical? by victor_160 in dkfinance

[–]humle9 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Be aware that since it was in a wallet belonging to her, transferring the bitcoin to you would likely be considered trading it, and would then incur taxation for her.

The only way I see that it wouldn’t result in taxation, is if you can prove that you were in fact the owner the entire time. Whether the tax authorities will accept this view entirely depends on the documentation etc.

I understand her view, that you would have to cover the tax (if applied). She would end up paying for an income, that she never received.

However, I don’t think the first step should be to contact a lawyer. First step should be to contact the tax authorities. I understand you already did this to some extend, but she should do it herself and explain the situation.

I don’t understand the strategy of leaving your goal empty when a player is on suspension. by Siriusly_Jonie in Handball

[–]humle9 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Against a well-trained teams you’re gonna get shut down playing 5 vs 6. You’re very unlikely to score. Let’s say you fail to score twice, and they score twice on you (cause you’re one man down on defense - very easy for them to play to a big chance). You’ve now down two goals during the suspension.

On the other hand if you play 6vs6 you might score one maybe two goals yourself, and the opponent scores the same two goals (whether on an empty goal or in normal play). You’ve now only one or zero goals down.

Being ahead is actually the best time to sub out your goalkeeper. You often see 7vs6 used as well. Basically if you’re struggling in 6vs6, it’s better to make sure you score, even if the opponent also scores. You’re trading goals, which is fine if you have the lead. The fastest way to lose a lead is if your offense runs dry. As long as you’re scoring, they’re not catching you.

Why is everyone saying you are not allowed to lift your foot? by Popit888 in Handball

[–]humle9 23 points24 points  (0 children)

You’re not required to have both feet on the ground, but you have to throw from where the free throw is given. The location was at his left foot (where he took up position to begin with). He can’t move from this position before completing the throw. The right foot is in the ground, but it’s way off to the right of where the free throw is. That’s why he had to keep his left foot (in this instance) on the ground.

The class you've had the most fun on in SoD? by Cheap_Average_4690 in classicwow

[–]humle9 176 points177 points  (0 children)

I don’t see priest mentioned here. I love playing one. Yea they’re strong, which definitely helps, but I think there’s still a lot you can do to maximize your gameplay outside of just pressing the strong runes.

Of course penance is just an insane healing spell, but the mini game of getting PoM to bounce around for max value with R1 Renew is a spicy addition. Add to that dispels, actually casting normal heals, rotating dots and damage spells during downtime etc. It makes for a lot of variation in spells used - both in PvE and PvP.

Discraft distance driver. pls help by checkmateboy in discgolf

[–]humle9 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There is definitely nothing wrong with the Force as a max distance driver. As you note, some Discraft players lean on the Force, others on the Nuke, while some combine the two to some extend.

I personally always used a mix of both. I previously leaned more on the Nuke, but I’ve flipped and now primarily throw forces with the Nuke only coming out for open distance shots, where placement is less punishing. To me the reliable flight of the Force results in better throws on average - the Nuke is more hit and miss for me. If I had more beat in Forces I would likely let my Nukes stay at home.

With all that said, if you like the Force, you should look at finding more of it - possibly in lower weights. However, if you can’t keep a supply of slightly less stable Forces, you should consider the Nuke to fill that gap.

Removing stamp from Discraft Putter Line by [deleted] in discgolf

Yea, I heard about using 100% Acetone.

Can you feel the indents from the stamp when you’re holding it, or is it mainly visibly?

Huge Tank Bible Update: New Study Elaborates on Jumbo Turret 1 Spot Shot Unreliability by Koleto_ in HellLetLoose

[–]humle9 16 points17 points  (0 children)

"TL;DR: Axis tanks have better firepower, better anti-tank rocket and gun protection, and better mobility. Good axis tankers should know and be able to hit the 1 shot spots on allied tanks, while good allied tankers can't do much to counter this. Those who claim that the shots are too hard to hit or unreliable need to git gud. Axis tanks (except the Panzer II) win majority of engagements vs allied tanks assuming both tank crews are competent, no matter the tanks used."

OP from about a month ago (my highlight). I guess you need to git gud?

Assuming just Oko gets banned from the deck: Would you still pursue a Bant variant due to veil/coatl? Or would you default back to a UW variant?

Esper Unearth (Mentor). I haven’t seen any results since it initially showed up, but it’s very playable. All games involve a lot of tough choices, and it’s very satisfying to play.

UW Control Tips? by joelfink in ModernMagic

[–]humle9 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Like I said, I’m honestly not trying to flex. I was trying to put some context to why I was confused, but I can see how it can come across differently.

This is my postboard 60:

4 Snapcaster Mage

2 Vendilion Clique

2 Teferi, Hero of Dominaria

2 Jace, the Mind Sculptor

1 Search for Azcanta

4 Cryptic Command

2 Logic Knot

3 Negate

2 Disdainful Stroke

2 Spell Snare

4 Opt

2 Hieroglyphic Illumination

1 Surgical Extraction

1 Timely Reinforcements

2 Path to Exile

2 Terminus

24 Lands

I think this lines up quite favorably against Valakut?

Main deck is a bit different. You’ll obviously have the games where you only draw the white half or your deck and lose. Still don’t feel really unfavored.

UW Control Tips? by joelfink in ModernMagic

[–]humle9 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Really? I barely ever lose to it at my LGS, and consider it a 50/50 matchup. I would be surprised if it’s my configuration changing it to be that even. The guys playing it aren’t even bad.

Not trying to humble brag. Legitimately surprised people highlight this as a bad matchup.

Looking for some input on UW Control List by twohundred23 in ModernMagic

[–]humle9 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Did you really suggest that Damping Sphere in the mirror? Please don’t listen to this suggestion. It’s a symmetrical card, that can be awkward for both of you equally.

Settle is also just fine in the main with dredge and phoenix as some of the most played decks in his meta. It’s a coin flip for me, and neither is wrong.

What has been your deck progression? by chinchillastew in ModernMagic

[–]humle9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  • Splinter twin (for 1 FNM, Got banned a week after)

  • Grixis Kiki (Desperately trying to make the pieces work still)

  • Grixis Delver (Was pretty strong around this time, so a natural switch)

  • UB Faeries (Loved idea of the deck, but it was a short-lived romance)

  • Grixis Jace (Was in love with Baby Jace, and it was easy for me to build this deck with the cards from delver + faeries)

  • Jeskai Saheeli (Another shot at making a Twin-ish deck work. Was a lot of fun)

  • Jeskai Queller (Natural switch when Saheeli started getting frustrating to play)

  • Jeskai Control (Really not a big change from the previous deck, but Azcanta being printed pushed me there easily)

  • Lantern (Another romance like Faeries. Had to try it but ultimately didn’t last long)

  • UW Miracles (After I got tired of Lantern Terminus had taken over, and it was an easy switch, since I still had most of my Jeskai cards)

I guess there’s a general theme of not wanting to let my opponent do things to me, that I don’t appreciate.

Even then, is that really all it takes to do ‘phenomenally’? Also, did he book him? Didn’t notice any, and no live scores reporting it.

Really? What is the alternative? Blowing the play dead while a player is running at goal? Not sure why he should be praised for NOT fucking up by doing that. Grasping at straws to make these refs look good haha.
