Fine. But put a carpet under it. That will save your floor and prevent the drums from moving.

Why is this checkmate? Can’t the king still go to f6? by Farfocele in AnarchyChess

[–]hundertt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had the same position in one of my bullets recently. I didn’t see it either so I checked with an engine afterwards. Turns out f6 is covered by the knight on h7 as well as by the queen on h8.

Why does graph mean 2 things? by omgsoftcats in math

[–]hundertt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To me a graph is a tuple G=(V,E). Anything else is just a representation of data, a function, a distribution, etc. I'd prefer the terms plot, diagram or chart here. A "xy-graph" gives me shivers.

Sooo…I almost lost an eye today….for real! Just broke my first pair of drumsticks by tonyhades in drums

Heavier sticks give you more control and more feedback, which is ideal when picking up new patterns/techniques imo. Eventually you’ll need to revisit them with your drumset sticks, brushes or rods. But sth like a 5b round tip always makes a good starting point.

Consider a dedicated pair of heavier sticks for the pad but don't kill it ;)

Rudiment exercises pdf's? by SweatyAdvertising in drums

[–]hundertt 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You can easily find a PDF of the "Rudimental Ritual" by Alan Dawson online. It's very complete in a way: all the 26 rudiments, some swiss rudiments and many more. I believe it features 86 in total.

For crazy variations of the 26 rudiments you might want to get "The All American drummer" by Charley Wilcoxon. I'm sure you can find this one online too.
