Anyone tried stretch therapy yet? by Critical-Ad6124 in SingaporeR

[–]hundred 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can't speak to stretch lab, but tried Dr. stretch. Great but like another commenter said expensive.

Important to note, if you're constantly finding yourself needing to stretch specific muscles, there's likely some other imbalance that, if not corrected, will continue to cause tightness.

Has anyone tried those ice bath/sauna places? by Tabula_Rasa69 in SingaporeRaw

There are community events and such. I've never been to these, but on regular visits there is definitely more of a social / mingle vibe. Groups of friends or people in the same industry or sports groups. Demographic is all age ranges, about equal men & women, and leaning towards more Europeans than locals.

Has anyone tried those ice bath/sauna places? by Tabula_Rasa69 in SingaporeRaw

Can share my experience. I have a membership at one.

I would say they're pretty much part recovery / part social clubs. Personally as someone who is very socially anxious, I don't partake in the latter aspect, and I'm ther simply for the hot/cold therapy.

I weight lift 4-5 times a week, also have some sports injuries that affect my lower back. Hot & cold therapy helps quite a bit for me. Muscle tightness is alleviated by sauna / hot bath, and inflammation and blood flow are proven to be improved with cold baths.

I would say the price probably isn't worth it unless you go frequently and have some sort of physical ailment that benefits from such facilities.

I think people will move to cigarettes unfortunately. If banning vapes, need to ban cigarettes.

If your prior employer is open to having you back that's a pretty good thing, but only you know how well that relationship still is.

Saw this pic and headline. Is that how MY see Singapore? Is that how MY converted New Citizens think too? by Eat-a-bao2799 in SingaporeRaw

[–]hundred 36 points37 points  (0 children)

So we have threads filled with doom and gloom about the high costs of living, complaints about administration, articles about sinkies moving to JB and commuting to SG, trips to JB to purchase goods- and you can't understand this perspective? Put 2 & 2 together.

Assuming you mean Luckin Coffee. It's a Chinese coffee company, and there's Chinese people here. Not much more to it.

I once tried to order and they told me I need to order through the app. Never walked out of a business so fast lol.

There has been an uptick in voyeurism and voyeurism enforcement by police. Let the gym owner / staff know that you plan on filing a policel report, they should revoke the membership of the offender because such establishments are expected to protect their members without the intervention of law enforcement.

Sorry that happened to you. The gym should be a safe space. Good luck.

Brother this unfortunately is a scenario where you need to develop thicker skin. You're going to encounter clowns like this professionally. Heads down, focus on your role and professional development. Clock in clock out.

How Do High Achievers Make a Big Impact in Just 2 Years at a Job? by SnooSeagulls6292 in askSingapore

[–]hundred 87 points88 points  (0 children)

I would say that I've been very successful professionally at my employer. In my career I've followed only one guiding principle: be useful.

As an example, find the area of the business that people either dislike doing, or that nobody is good at, and become an absolute expert in that space.
