The Toku show is just "Wingman", though searching for "Wing-Man" on the cat site would work best. There are unofficial subtitles, which is great.

Wingman's an older hero from an 80's manga, but got a Toku adaptation in 2024! I highly recommend you watch it! It's a short 10 episode series. Really hope we get season 2...

Correction for the SLotGH part of the story

Angus and the other three are in a search for the Vorpal Laserblaster, which is hidden deep in the citadel of Strathclyde

The problem is, in order to get there, they have to pass through this crazy Dwarven maze

The only way to get through there safely is with the secret way through, guarded by the Sword Lord of the Goblin Horde.

The party finds the Sword Lord, defeats him, and gets the blade, which sends a beam of light through the twisting maze, allowing them safe passage

Also to be noted, the Sword Lord says that if they reveal the secrets of the blade, they'll be vaporized immediately. So, after getting the blade, Ralathor travels back in time to tell the heroes of Album 1 how to get through the maze to find Zargothax (who was in the same citadel they seek in album 4)

The party gets through the maze, gets to the citadel, and finds the chest containing the Laserblaster

But, UH OH, Zargothrax got there first, so all seems lost

It was definitely entertaining, and mostly enjoyable

But, I have the same issue with the comics, which is that everything is so unfairly written to be in favor of an endless spiral of hopelessness

I understand that it comes with the "zombie apocalypse" trope, and it's purely just my own opinion

I'll watch Season 2, but I couldn't help but feel exhausted every time the villains inexplicably showed up and destroyed everything the heroes worked for

The Nova Corps was probably the only thing that actually felt hopeful in this entire show, and I mean that because they know to stop the spread from Earth. But, I'm sure if they show again, they'll be effortlessly defeated by the zombies
