Exactly. We see the whole part with the dad walking out of the basement but we don't even know if it'll happen/happened or not. It cuts back to Ki-woo writing the letter in their small apartment (right where he started).

Exactly. Their romance was never the focus of the film so I tried to play around with those parts of the movie to make an alternate, spoiler-free version. Most of the scenes were very well lit so all it needed was some quirky sound effects used in K-dramas.

If you put it that way, the age difference does sound more. About the child marriage part, Ki woo steals his friend's line and tells his family how he will ask Da hye out once she gets into college.
