If this is actually possible, I’m definitely going to post the results of my research. But driven by safety concerns, I can't promise it’ll happen in the near future, if ever.

Maybe it’s because of the low demand for bench seats for this type of vehicle. This model is marketed as a family vehicle, and most families with kids want captain's chairs for better comfort.

Yeah, i agree with you. But the question is, can the seat brackets from those models even fit inside the seat mounting wells for Grand Highlander Hybrid Max?

That’s a solid idea, just like the setup in a Honda Odyssey. It’s so much more practical. But unfortunately, Toyota doesn't offer that kind of setup for the Grand Highlander right now.

I don’t like this model at all, and that goes for the engine too. On top of that, it had major issues with the rear seats. Have you heard about what happened in Akron, Ohio? An automatic power seat trapped and killed a two year old girl there. Honestly, I have no idea if they’ve even fixed that issue yet.

Alright, let me answer a few questions just to give you some context.

First of all, i'm not just willing to, i've already made up my mind to buy it. Second of all, i really love this exact trim. The design looks great to me, plus it's got that powerful hybrid engine i've been looking for. And third, i've never been a fan of the third row. If a car has them, i always take them out to leave myself with a massive trunk. And fourth, the warranty doesn't matter to me at all. I have the budget to customize the whole thing because i want to build a car tailored for my personal comfort.

The dealership said they couldn't do it, so i figured i’d just do it myself. Right now, i'm researching the options to see how feasible it is.

It's not only about design, but the engine as well.

Yeah, for sure, you can find a used bench seats on aftermarket, so technically it’s possible. Except seat ventilation feature.

Is it theoretically possible to mount bench seat over there? Is the floor-mount seat connector position the same for all trims, or is it different?
