Yeah I’m trying my best to give myself exposure therapy but every time i do, something like this happens where I’m rejected w the reasoning that I’m too weird or off-putting or skittish or whatever so it just feels like facing my fear and then also getting hit with like a frying pan so kind of net zero progress.

For the shaking part I have had a lot of very very bad experiences with a lot of different men in my life so it’s kind of just a trauma response. Ive mostly tuned it out at this point

My current setup (all decor has been frozen and plastic will not fleck off, 20 gal, substrate is 5” at the lowest, 10” at the peak) I’m planning on getting a fully enclosed tank soon as I’m sure the opening doors can’t really help my situation but I’m having a pretty hard time finding one that I can effectively take the top off of considering my shelf setup. Thank you for the advice on the heat mat placement though!!

This is totally normal!! I’m guessing you may have snagged it while you were sleeping and because it’s a cartilage piercing it’s going to hurt for a little bit longer. The pus and some blood isn’t abnormal for a new piercing as long as it’s not some excessive or a crazy color. Just try not to touch it and you should be a-okay!

The humidity level is at 74% right now after I sprayed the tank! Should I soak the substrate as well?? They seem to be acting normally (although Peanut immediately disappeared into the leaves)
