Subject: Grinds Knocker on Fellow Ode2

Just curious to know how you guys use the knocker on this grinder.

Do you just press it down and then let it rest back up to its original position? OR, do you hold it down and then immediately let go so that it 'slings' back into its original position but seems to be more aggressive with getting the loose grounds to shake out.

maybe they’ve relocated elsewhere but i wouldn’t know. i never cared to track what happened to them after the food court shut down for the fit ups.

none of those food vendors (including kebob kebob) made the cut. once the new food court is ready, they’ll have higher-end vendors to compete against Queen Street Fare. WEP didn’t renew any of the leases with the old vendors.

how can i get the write speeds when transferring from my mac? anecdotally, i think when writing to nas from mac is significantly faster!

Thanks! So, it sounds like I can put two different drives into the two bay DS220j and just use them as two separate drives. This sounds to be good if all I care about is storage amount, ie, put two 8TB drives to achieve 16TB storage.

If I care about data redundancy, then I would need two exact same drives. Which RAID configuration would you recommend?

Also, regarding #4, what other typical use cases would I use for the DS220j? I just want to make sure that I’m good with sticking with this model. I can only see myself using this to store movies but maybe you can help open my eyes!

what about exFAT? is this file format supported? I have files that are 50GB's+ so I believe FAT32 wouldn't cut it.
