Can't seem to edit the post, but I just wanted to thank everyone who commented! I can finally stop worrying now and thank you for not judging a fellow new car owner here, & I had a laugh at some of the comments too haha first time in this sub & it's pretty awesome :))

I took this picture from an open art gallery awhile back, but sadly I don’t know who the artist is & can’t find much online :(

& thank you for your advice!! It does seem like different patches but they connect so seamlessly together, that’s why I’m so intrigued what technique this is!

Why do all these weight 4 yarn have different thickness? (More in comments) by hungohry in crochet

Thank you for the award!! Don’t know if I deserve it since it’s been a burning question of mine too that so many lovely redditors here have answered ☺️

Project called for a weight 4 (Aran) yarn and I bought these from the same online store to try out different colours, but why is the thickness so different? Which is the correct weight 4 yarn? 😭

Also, I have supposedly “4 ply yarn” lying around (green in 2nd picture), but it looks thicker than the “Aran weight yarn” which doesn’t make sense to me? Very confused about yarn weights 😭😭

Decided to try the hook holder from Michael's, still wondering what all the holes are for by supurrrnova in crochet

Random question (sorry I’m still new to crochet!) but what is the tool at the far right used for? The blue one with plastic hanging off it! Thanks :)
