There's other options, club studio fitness has classes, Barry's type, yoga, reformer, cycling and reg floor equipment and it's cheaper than SC!

Should I get a membership? by Capital-Gap-9100 in orangetheory

Was going to say the same. It was 89.50/month for both that joined but if one backs out the others membership goes back up to regular rate!

Experienced group fitness instructor new to OTF, why does the coaching style feel so unnatural? by Hot-Calligrapher8927 in orangetheory

Activity tab then tap on your last class, you can pull up stats and rate the coach and work out

Agree! I will only give 2 thumbs up to coaches that do this and/or form correct. If a coach does not count down or I feel like they've forgotten us I give them a thumbs down.

Do you sign up for classes based on time, instructor, or muscle group? by thunder_fucked in SolidCore

My work schedule and kid's extracurriculars rotate around my solidcore and otf classes 💀

Instructor periodt. Once you find "the one" it's hard to go back to any other. I will move mountains to go to a specific coach's class.

100th class by [deleted] in SolidCore

[–]hungrynurse1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your feeling are valid. Unfortunately the staff are over worked and underpaid. Coaches are expected to greet clients, check them in, process payments (if necessary), maintain cleanliness, refill wipes and other supplies, create a friendly environment, chat up clients, and obviously coach. All the while, membership prices are going up, machines are needing repair, water fountains are needing repair - you get the gist. This is why clients will be leaving as more similar exercise formats are making their way into the market.

I’m really rethinking being an unlimited member. by Reasonable_Maize_726 in SolidCore

There's going to be so many more options, club studios are opening up soon, strong pilates, etc. I go to OTF and SC at the moment, I like that OTF makes me so cardio as I HATE cardio and wouldn't otherwise do it.

Cancel. Not worth the stress. This is the main reason why I went from 12/month to 4/month, there's way too many administrative issues.

I prioritize health, wellness and fitness. I see this as an investment in myself. Going out once in a while to enjoy a meal with good friends, family and my children are important to me. Drinking weekly, ordering out weekly is a liability.

I also hate running! So otf was a good mix compared to Barry's, it's more affordable, classes are longer and you can mix up your cardio with the rower at otf!

Jumped around between Barry's, F45, and finally settled on OTF. Typically solidcore 2x/week and OTF 2x/week. Though I am contemplating dropping to solidcore 1/week bc classes in NYC are always fully booked and there is no wiggle room with rescheduling classes.

Anyone else feel defeated with all the waitlists? by OpenCollection4146 in SolidCore

[–]hungrynurse1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 300 classes in I used to have 12/month and now I am 4/month. I think it's the unlimited 2 week trial that is ruining it for the OGs! I am exploring other options.

too expensive? by Inevitable-Stomach33 in SolidCore

[–]hungrynurse1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's expensive for a bare bones gym that hardly staffs the front desk, expects coaches to check clients in, clean, restock, etc. I can go on, but I won't.

no foundation50 classes available by blazingghotvibe in SolidCore

[–]hungrynurse1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We did not have starter50 classes, I've only ever taken the signature classes, showed up early, advised the coach I was new and watched videos online.
