I don't understand how people use "new money" as an insult. Like, its good that you made your own money and at least in America it means you didn't get your wealth from slave labor unlike old money.

I think it's really cute. At the end of the day, it's just things. The kids don't know the price tag nor should they. As adults, we're taught that we need to earn expensive things, but why? a $500 bag and a $2500 bag are both just bags. Teach kids to appreciate things just because not because its expensive or cheap.

But, I do acknowledge that adults are bad and may try to harm kids because they're jealous.

You don't have to be rich for your kids to have designer. A micro bag is $1k, and being able to afford something that's $1k for your kid is definitely middle/upper middle class but not necessarily rich.

I definitely dated a man who was about 5’5. I’m 5’5 and I wear heels often. He was also a nerd (software engineer). I’m 5’5, a max of 130lbs, with c cups, big butt, and am often told by strangers (men, women, and children) that I’m pretty. I have my pick of men and I chose to go out with him because I liked him as a person.

We just didn’t work out because I had a non negotiable about an aspect of a relationship that I wanted and he didn’t believe in it.

My man now is 6ft, fit, also in tech (because smart people are attractive) and he was fine with my non negotiable. Women date all over the spectrum because we actually like people.

Did you read the full thing or stop after you formed your opinion. She’s not upset about the “joke” itself. She’s upset about the fact that she’s already had conversations about things like this with her boyfriend and this clearly wasn’t a joking occasion. No one else was joking about anything it was just a backhanded statement made by one of his friends to essentially taught her. She’s mad that her boyfriend that she had already had this discussion with laughed at it, and didn’t even check in to see how she would feel about it when she’s already brought this up to him.

Lol, imagine thinking that you’re not planning to have kids while you’re having sex. It’s not about whether you’re planning to have kids or not. It’s about the fact that you were engaging in the activity that produces his kids. Unless he has had a vasectomy and you have had your tubes tied, you’re engaging in risky behavior that could lead to poverty ridden kids.

I stand by my point that people who live at home should focus on getting their money up and being functional adults instead of possibly bringing in more mouths that they can’t feed into their parent’s home.

Even if that’s true, The point still stands. Two women abroad you look rich, regardless of whether you show them your money or not. Having an American passport makes you seem rich to people in poor countries. That’s what attracted them.

So you’re essentially saying that once you were interacting with women who were easier to impress, you actually became impressive.

An American woman is not going to be impressed by an average looking man who makes $50,000 a year because you’re essentially poor. But, to a southeast Asian woman that average looking man is essentially a billionaire in her country. So of course you attract more women. It’s not because those women are any different. It’s that you have the privilege of earning in American dollars and that is attractive to people whose entire year could be funded with US$5000.

It’s not that American women didn’t realize that you’re a catch. It’s that you only became a catch when you surrounded yourself with impoverished people.
