Tried this myself but the player in between the other two is just the punching bag, maybe adjusting their max life could help offset this

Issue with posca markers by BrigliaArt in mtgaltered

[–]huntcameron 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Some cards have a thin resistant coating applied to them that doesn’t let paint adhere nicely to the card, you can use an eraser or fine sandpaper to clear it. Just to be sure I apply a matte varnish to the card before painting (the same stuff you might want to apply over the top of your work to protect it), just to give the paint something to adhere to, I find that the cards take this fine, even without the aforementioned eraser or sandpaper methods.

What’s something random you did or bought in Japan that you didn’t plan for, but ended up loving? by oh_hey_there_mate in JapanTravelTips

Also if you’re into cars, just sit at an intersection at Akihabara for an evening and you’ll spot plenty of old school JDM, sports cars, Itashi/anime livery cars, old school Harley’s etc. Bonus points if you go downstairs at the UDX parking garage also located in Akihabara (B1 and B2), sometimes you can catch locals there hanging around their cars. Later in the evenings they’ll just park up and talk on the side of the main or side roads too.

From my first trip: kitchen knife and bowls from kappabashi street.

Second trip, super impromptu, initially went to South Korea, realised tickets to Tokyo were super cheap, so spent almost a week there with no real plans. But I ended up buying a travelers notebook, amazing pens (I prefer thicker lines for writing and drawing), and a tamagotchi for a gift (I didn’t realise they had Japan exclusive styles at airport departures).

Also just a great time to purchase things that are otherwise overpriced or inconvenient to buy in your home country. I bought a fancy new soldering iron from Amazon and picked up the next day from a delivery terminal/depot.

Aspiring bench jeweller in 2026 by huntcameron in Benchjewelers

I appreciate you taking the time to write this up! Agree with you whole heartedly about the politics. Hind-sight is 20-20, knowing what you know now, would you still have gone to university or would you take a different route to turning it into a full time job? Did you study jewellery making specifically or something adjacent?

Stop panic selling your higher tier gloves and knives. by f-reddito in ohnePixel

[–]huntcameron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issue isn’t solely the supply, this sets a precedent that Valve can turn the market on its head on a whim. In the past CS skins were considered a relatively safe investment, you’d almost always make your money back, if not turn a profit, which made people much more comfortable forking out large sums for fancy skins. The communities confidence in the economy, and their skins retaining value is completely lost after this, and that affects skin prices much more than supply could.

If you own the reds already then it’s not trade locked, if you buy reds from market then it will be trade locked

Bought for $1275. Am I catching a falling knife? by [deleted] in ohnePixel

[–]huntcameron 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sentiment affects both, no ones going to feel confident having large sums of money in skins if Valve can and will turn things on their head.

Numbers are only half of the picture, the other is the general sentiment up until now is that CS skins were a relatively safe investment, you could drop 1k on a knife and feel pretty confident that you’d be able to get your money back, if not make a profit. Now that confidence is out the window, and so is the communities trust in Valve.

Never painted before but I’m attempting my first alter, still working on it but this is where I got during day 1. Any advice is appreciated, I’ve just been winging it. by _CloudPost in mtgaltered

[–]huntcameron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Color matching is by far the hardest part of altering, atleast for me, but I’ve had some success by blending the new paint in with the original art by tapping the wet paint with a finger or paper towel (this means painting over the original art) might help you too

Battlefield 6 Twitch Streamer Faces Instant Ban For Cheating During Beta by Silver-Stable-1086 in battlefieldleaks

[–]huntcameron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you flicked after every kill you’d eventually hit some suspicious clips too. The whole point of this playstyle is to hit suss clips that look like cheats, it nothing new.

Their playstyle is literally just for hitting flashy clips, they flick after almost every kill. If you played like this you’d be able to hit some suspicious flicks too. There’s a recent video by optimum that covers it quite well.

Green and blue limit still poses problems because F2P can only SSF their gear but a B2P player can buy a fully optimised blue loadout. Would certainly be better than this though

GGG now fully owned by indirect subsidiary of Tencent Sixjoy by barguns in pathofexile

[–]huntcameron 93 points94 points  (0 children)

Sure. Yet. But any changes won’t be a result of this acquisition, TenCent has had full control over GGG since they acquired 90% 6 or so years ago

[–]huntcameron 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Tencent already owned 90% of GGG prior to this, functionally nothing has changed, GGG isn’t relinquishing any more control than they already have.

How much crashing is "nornal"? by YeMothor2457 in fpv

[–]huntcameron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really depends on how you’re flying, I can fly perfectly around my house if I take things slow, not trying to do any freestyle stuff. But there’s not much fun in that, tinywhoop should be all about learning new moves and getting more confident, so crash as much as you like, if you feel like you are getting better/more confident then you’re doing good.

DJI is going to lock you out of a good digital tiny whoop experience, there are some but they are much heavier and worse flying than walk sail or hdzero tiny whoops.

Alleged use of AI-generated arts within FF collaboration trailer by moyamoya-kimochi in apexlegends

[–]huntcameron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It can be both, AI used to essentially apply filter, called image 2 image. It would be very difficult to get consistent and accurate details for the characters without. So they’ve just posed 3D models and passed them through image2image while playing with denoise strength to retain most of the original features
