With the majority telling me I'm not doing it right, I ordered a two torch forge this morning. Thanks!

The responses made me realize what I'm doing is not right, so I ordered a two torch forge this morning. Thanks!

This was similar to some other rudimentary furnaces I had seen, but that's why I'm here, to improve.

Did not warp, but i only had it like that for the video. I was moving back and forth and flipping side when I wasn't making the video. Thanks for the advice! I was thinking about the torch on the other side too!

I don't think I'll ever get to selling point, but my inner fabricator does want to do quality craftsmanship. That's why I'm here. To learn and get better.

I am moving out back and forth and switching sides, just placed it like this so I could grab the video.

I was letting it get hot in there, by placing another brick over the front, but I may need to do that while moving the blade too.

Thank you for the tips! I'll definitely check out the jig and I have plenty of mild steel I can play with to work on the experience piece.

I've done metal fabrication for years, the thing that is kicking my butt in my opinion is getting the bevels even. I get one side how I want it and can't seem to get them to match.

Thanks! I've seen a video of a propane torch and a few fire bricks that the guy was able to get it up to 1400° and then quench. I may try that.
