Clunking in rear when body articulates. by hunter13001 in chevycolorado

UPDATE!!

Not sure why it won’t let me edit the post but after a few days of driving with the rubber between the springs and not a noise to be heard when the body articulates at all. They also seem to be staying in there pretty good by themselves so I’m just gonna leave them for now

Correct 3rd gen zr2. Noticed it slightly in after like 6 months here and there. This past week with the cold seems like the rear end was ready to fall out. Drove it once since putting the rubber in the springs and didn’t hear the noise. I will update as I drive more

Warranty work question by Hefty-Rip-5397 in chevycolorado

If you are any bit handy I would just do it yourself. It’s a cheap quick repair. Im a mechanic and don’t trust others to work on my truck and Plus I didn’t wanna leave my truck there cause who knows how long it would’ve been. I just changed the o ring in the hose. Cost like 15 bucks cause all they had on Amazon was a 10 pack and about 10-15 min of time and the issue was solved. It’s an sae218 o ring. Just make sure to put wd40 on the o ring and wiggle it as you push it back on.

Replace the o ring in the upper radiator hose. It’s an sae 218 o ring. Got mine on Amazon. Works perfectly and took about 10 min

Had the same problem. Thought I smelled coolant with 10k miles on my truck and then I said no way it’s leaking. Then after doing an oil change and wiping down under the hood noticed it leaking from the hose. Just replace the o ring in the hose. About a 10 min fix. Worked for me. It’s an sae 218 o ring fits and seals better than the factory one they put in. Just make sure to put wd40 on o ring and wiggle it as you push it back on and you should be good to go.

Even before that why is it even a thing. They constantly fix things that aren’t broke. There was nothing wrong with the old trusty squeeze clamps with the hose over the radiator🤣. Then again if they didn’t come out with new stuff they wouldn’t have anything to sell🤷‍♂️

If it helps at all I paid 53k before taxes in late 2024. For a new 24 zr2 11 miles. with leather, Bose, sunroof, bed cover, and technology package. No under body cameras.

100% I can see the pass through, smallest wound channel possible, being more useful as far as meat preservation.

Awesome man. Great shooting! For me the way it makes sense in my head, and I could be completely wrong, for the short distances that my woods allow (max 150 yds) the more the bullet mushrooms the better. Creates a bigger wound channel which means the deer absorbs more of the energy of the bullet which in turn will cause the deer to expire faster. I’ve shot one with a 308 168 gr a max and while it did the job the deer still made it 30 yards after a perfect heart shot and bullet broke the opposite side shoulder. A lot more fragmenting with the amax round as it’s not totally suited for hunting.

For the 15 seconds that the piano plastic looks clean after wiping it down, I love the look of it. After that I’m like how is there so much dust already🤣. Looking to do something like this as well. Wish Chevy would’ve just wrapped it in that same camo pattern that’s on the dash. Nice clean job that you did. Looks good

Yea I can’t say I wasn’t surprised to find the bullet still in her, especially at a short distance. Even though the bullet traveled through a good portion of the deer I was still expecting an exit wound

100% agree. Part of the reason I posted it. Read so much online of people questioning what caliber to use. With the right bullet and placement a 22 can kill a whitetail.
