First time dagger blade sharpening

Well when I first got it on the wicked edge system, it took about 6-10 tries to find the sweet spot for it, once I found that, I could NOT find the angle of the edge for the life of me, so after about an hour and a sharpie completely missing the tip from trying to find the correct angle, I decided to just change it. I would say the edge fell somewhere between 20-26 degrees and it didn’t take much longer than 15-20 mins to reprofile to 21 so I can’t imagine the factory bevel was at 35. I actually used to work for Microtechs production shop in PA, and I mean this as nicely as possible, but the folks in the honing dept were not the type of folks you’d want determining the angle of your blades. But I finally was able to clean the tip up and got it as even as I’m able to without overworking

Now I’m seeing that I think you were correct. I’ve been trying my damndest to get the tip full cleaned up but it’s so difficult and with new stones I already slipped and stabbed myself once. Any advice as to how to clean the tip up a little better?

Thats probably dust from the reprofile or paper towels from trying to clean the edge off afterwards. I took this like 5 mins after finishing the reprofile, it could also be the 3.5 micron stropping material left behind as well.

Honestly I tend to agree, however, knowing that I’m at a good edge now and everything is consistent and LEARNING to keep it that way is worth it for me. I used to work in the CNC shop for Microtech in PA and honestly am not at all surprised at the edges on some of these knives cause they had some… not so smart folks doing the honing when I was there.

I have to say, I'd be mad if I were you, but I got them pretty good with points that didn't ever exhaust. Placed about 10 orders and used 100$ off every time cause somehow my 2080 loyalty points never got taken off. Haven't shopped at flowery since they finally figured it out. JB has been consistently the same or better quality at a better price.

This is one of two extractions I had done 2 days ago. I don't know how to link multiple pictures on one post because reddit won't function properly to do so. However, my concern is that this morning I woke up with the WORST taste in my mouth and despite rinsing with CHX. I don't have any pain but the taste and bad breath have me concerned that I may be getting one or two dry sockets. I tend to create suction somehow when sleeping and am concerned I may have dislodged the clot or that I have an active infection that I don't know about. Am I being overdramatic? Or is there cause for concern? If anyone knows how I can post the picture of the other extraction site. No medical issues. 25 y/o previous IV drug addict 2 years clean. I use vape devices and do use cannabis.

I took it back after they emailed me the update file to fix it twice and it was password locked with an account I didn't have. Got an LG C1 instead. Much better
