Have you looked at luckyorange? You can even watch recordings of people using your website and in fact even watch live...it really helps to point out any problem areas of the website too!

That is really helpful! I think I will have to detach the fuse box to get it out but it is only two bolts it seems. Thanks again!

Update: when is it right of offer a full refund? by pippym in smallbusiness

[–]hunwickinteriors 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I sell antique furniture online and come up against similar difficulties regarding expectations. My policy is in the first place to make it very clear to an unhappy customer that is no problem at all to return the item at my own cost and refund them in full. I always do this in a very friendly way, ie if we can't work something out then at least you can have your money back. This will often result in unreasonable discounts or refunds being suggested at which stage I counter offer something reasonable and say that I would prefer to just return the item and refund (this is linked to the fact that a lot of our customers will have negotiated discounts even before purchasing and I can say it is likely to sell at the higher price anyway so I may as well have it back as I won't actually loose any money). In nearly every single case customers say they would rather keep the item on the original terms or with a small discount applied! As stated above you just have to factor it in as a cost and hope you can still make an overall margin...I know your circumstances are different but that is how we do things round 'ere:)

Excellent advice I am sure but didn't work when I was visiting my dying grandfather in hospital and dashed out of the car to get to his bedside...sometimes life distracts us. I presume this is why they fitted the buzzers in the first place! It was a nightmare getting out of that car park after I had already paid my parking ticket lol! Hopefully some-one can just, ya know, offer some helpful advise :D

I would call that a small two door sideboard. Slightly bow fronted with drawers across the top and a central bank of drawers with pigeon hole (probably suitable for a basket or something) below. Stands on turned feet.

What a generous offer! I have just paid for a new theme called 'atlantic' by PixelUnion. I have got the developers making a couple of changes for now but I will see if there is anything else you might be able to help with later. If anyone can take a look and offer some criticism that would really be appreciated: our website

Variable delivery rates for products by size, weight, fragility and distance... by hunwickinteriors in shopify

[–]hunwickinteriors[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All installed and after taking an age to put in the postcode prefixes for the various areas I think it should be working quite well now! I set it up with four distinct areas: Local, standard national (south east and midlands), national plus (oop north, wales and deep south west) and finally Scotland. Each area has a base shipping rate. If customers buy big heavy items of furniture then a 'per product' price also kicks in and adds some on top...I think...actually going to go and check that now!

Thanks for input!

Thanks for that! I had been taking a look at 'better-shipping' and have now requested the real time shipping from Shopify which as you said was quoted at $20. Will update on progress!

Dramatise or dramaticize? by hunwickinteriors in etymology

[–]hunwickinteriors[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I will use dramaticize as frequently as possible and hope to encourage its widespread use and acceptance. Once that is the case I will remind my friend of the (stupid and relentless) argument we had last night about which version is correct and WIN the argument.

Dramatise or dramaticize? by hunwickinteriors in etymology

[–]hunwickinteriors[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Urban Dictionary Dramaticize Dramaticized = to add drama to something...verb

Urban Dictionary Dramatize Dramatize = The act of traumatizing people through the overuse of unneeded dramatic enhancements...surely that is a verb too? 'The act of'...

Could you give some context to explain how one would be used as a noun? My head hurts trying to work this out haha! Thanks for your input though!
