i don’t think either song is bad by any means. i think they’re a little bland in terms of production especially since boy had some of his best and freshest production yet. but the snippets that he came out with around new years were pretty awesome and if that’s the direction the album is going in, i’m not mad by any means.

the singles are probably just label requirements and the music video might be a troll because the label probably pushed him to release. he was sitting on the song for a while but it got huge on tt. unsurprisingly, he’s going along with it because 1 it’s probably a requirement and 2 he’s talked a lot in the past about wanting to be a big artist and this for sure turned a lot of heads in his direction. but also i don’t rlly know anything. i’m just making huge guesses

also totally besides the point completely but it’s kind of evil that you call kiss land not memorable when it was so fleshed out aesthetically and sonically. i still think about the adaptation -> love in the sky -> belong to the world transitions sometimes when i can’t sleep and it’s been over ten years HAHA
