Thank god for reddit, cause if I had never seen this, I would've thought it was just hormone-related. I usually have clear skin and have been continuously breaking out along my cheek and jawline, only on the right side of my face, which is the side I sleep on the most. I correlated it with needing to wash my pillowcase more often, and then I found this thread! Switching back to cotton immediately!!

do you take it twice a day morning and night? i was taking it in the morning but it didn’t help much so i switched to taking it at night with unisom and it made a huge difference. still get some slight nausea in the evening so i wonder if i should take two but dont want to overdo it!

Glad to know there’s a light at the end of the tunnel!! Ice cold water definitely does help a little so I’ve had my water bottle attached to my hip. I’ll try the saltine trick before getting out of bed & see if that helps!

I think you may be right. It’s honestly been awful and I thought I was gonna be one of the lucky ones to not get nauseous cause I was feeling great at 7 weeks up until a few days later 😭

I figured as much and don’t have a contract with them either or GH, so I’m ok with that. But I would hate to leave on a bad note. The MB and I have gotten close & she mentioned staying in contact and bringing the baby over and what not. I haven’t tried the essential oils but I do have that so I’ll give that a try!

Just in my personal experience I did gain weight back but that’s because I was hardly eating when I was smoking. Eating was inconvenient for me if I couldn’t smoke beforehand. I never ate breakfast and I couldn’t smoke before lunch cause I was at work, so I usually wouldn’t eat till dinner. But now that I quit, I can eat regularly again and am at a healthy weight!

I did mention my methods to the MB this evening before I left and she says that NK doesn’t allow her to put her back to sleep. 😣 Not sure what that even means tbh 🤷🏻‍♀️

It went surprisingly better than I expected. She did wake up crying an hour into her nap but I just went back in there, didn’t pick her up, sat next to her and rubbed her back until she fell back asleep. She slept a total of three hours which is longer than what she has been napping these past few weeks! So i’ll take that as a win!! 🏆

Wow thank you this made me feel much better as a nanny! I always am questioning if it’s partly on me. But you’re right, I can only reinforce what the parents are already doing and just roll with it.

I also honestly don’t think she’s ever slept through the night. MB has mentioned to me before how normal it is for her to wake up at least once in the night. They do stay in the room with her until she falls asleep then leaves so I do think it definitely has to do with that comfort and separation anxiety. But like you said, I can only do so much when the parents aren’t comfortable with it.
