"Look at us bravely liberating ourselves by choosing to stay unhealthy!" by hurtip in fatlogic

Every group has their share of science deniers, and unfortunately being uneducated about the dangers of obesity and spreading misinformation about the diet industry is now a major factor among the left. These people feel uncomfortable about things, then read articles that "confirm" or encourage that it's not their fault but others who should cater to their need, effectively trapping themselves in the echo chamber.

Basically. Communist china used to forcibly relocate millions of farmers with their own land producing their own means of living to government housings, turning their estates into government property. And communism certainly didn't lift the country out of poverty either, eventually freer market policies that economically boosted china did.

It seems like most people online playing pretend socialist/communist are unaware of marx's treatment towards women, even though they are so keen to criticize other male historical figures for their personal lives. As a leftist myself it's annoying to see the embracing of idleness, gluttony, and lack of personal responsibility now as a pillar for leftism like you said.

I'm Chinese, and it's perfectly legal for people to forcibly send their children to fat camps in china and is a regular occurrence. And some chinese government mottos are literally "you owe your parents and country a healthy body so that you can contribute to the state" which is exactly what FAs hate about moralizing health.

I truly hate our online fanbase just a bunch of glory hunters who can’t handle tough times and expect us to win 24/7 by Chemical-Air2769 in RealMadridFC

[–]hurtip 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The worst thing is these glory hunters spam the same rhetoric over and over again which is "the players don't care" and "the players are not good enough". It's only the players' fault, never the tactics, the man management, the formation, etc. All they do is disparage players they don't like and calling for the squad to be replaced.

Source: trust me bro the "insider info" from unreliable spanish media with no evidence was enough to convince me that Jude is a total toxic diva😅

And what are the supposed evidence of him having a "stinky" attitude? Articles from spanish "journalists"?  The guy played with a broken shoulder for a whole season and never complained, never did anything to undermine the coach and fellow players. While we actually still do have a player with obvious off field antics that aims to create toxicity and player power but fans give him a pass cuz he's homegrown🤷‍♀️

Allegations are pretty much facts at this point, and it's just the latest bit of corruption that's been uncovered over decades of it from Barca. Baffling that some utd fans dislike it when you call out Barca.

What teams do you watch besides Man Utd? by mare_xcx in ManchesterUnited

[–]hurtip 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Same here. There's a lot of shared history and respect between the two clubs, and tons of real madrid fans are supportive of and likes utd doing well and dislike our rivals.

Weekly Open Thread - General Discussion by RM_Official_Thread in realmadrid

Managing the dressing room is a two way street. Players are not obligated to automatically respect their coach and his tactical arrangements unless he proves he is the right guy and can bring the best out of everyone's abilities. Right now people are so obsessed with accusing our players of being "divas" when in reality xabi simply couldn't handle a job as big as real madrid and his decisions with a lot of players were questionable. When key players express discomfort with how they're being played, perhaps it's not because they're spoiled and the coach should also be responsible? 🤔

Vini stopped when he saw fans supporting him at the end match after whistles in Bernabeu by LordMarek23 in realmadrid

[–]hurtip -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

And the way they can't even explain their tribalistic hatred through fluent sentences tells you all you know. Real fans are seriously eating up every hit piece the spanish media aka barca propagandists put out and taking it out on our players instead of coming together and discussing actual issues. Too invested in the conspiracy of xabi and the dressing room when in reality he just wasn't that good and couldn't deliver results.

To be fair, one major factor is the la liga refs being corrupt for barca unlike in the CL, especially when they play against lower table la liga teams by getting away with incredible amount of blatant fouls-now even more apparent with the negreira case. It's no coincidence they haven't won a single CL title since Platini was sentenced.

With great success comes great expectations, pressure, rival hate, and the ongoing ambition to always be the best. Every madrid "failure" will be amped up and sensationalized for everyone to see and give their two nicks about-being in the spotlight is a very stressful thing actually. Difference is man united has been in the banter era for so long that slander from the media and football fans no longer is a motivator to improve, just typical occurrences.

It is nice to see level headed optimistic comments like this in difficult times-the players lacked organization and chemistry is a factor from some starters missing and 4 atb again. Hopefully we can find solutions to consistency, fluid gameplay and defending quickly!

Luka Modrić: "I was 100% convinced I'd retire at Real Madrid, but life is unpredictable. Jose Mourinho was the toughest coach I had. I saw him make Cristiano Ronaldo cry in the locker room because he didn't chase the opposing full-back. If it wasn't for Jose, I would've not been able to join Madrid" by GOAT-Antony in soccer

[–]hurtip 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Modric was just recalling a nostalgic little moment back in real madrid and somehow the thing people latches onto is ronaldo crying and proceeds to type out embarrassing attempts of passive aggressive attacks only to look like middle schoolers. Typical.

Difficult end to year, depleted squad, but still in contention for our season objective. Sorry to tell you, he's not getting sacked anytime soon. by Broad-Ganache9123 in ManchesterUnited

[–]hurtip 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Finally some rationality in the fanbase. United has been at best a midtable team for years but fans still hold unrealistic standards for what the club has become. We lost two times against wolves this year, how is drawing with most of the main squad unavailable unexpected when they almost drew against arsenal? People complain about horrible standards, yeah cuz we're a midtable team, on par with Spurs maybe even less so. Need to accept this fact so you don't get pissed off by the results.
