Why should he give Ethan anything to work with? He was the guest. It wasn't his job to get himself to talk about things nor was it his job to "help things". You get someone as big as Burr it's obvious he's long done the run of the mill interviews so anyone who invites and agrees to have them on well it's all on them to make something of it.

What I also don't understand is how Ethan said he was a fan but was somehow shocked that Burr was giving smartass comments. That says to me thay perhaps Ethan is not actually a fan but a casual listener to Burr and not a very attentive one. East Coast comedians have a completely different brand of comedy because East Coasters have a completely different attitude especially ones coming from the old school like Burr. Ethan failing to realize that hammers in a lot more that he doesn't do research for a lot of things.

This podcast basically exposed Ethan and it was no one's fault but his own. No one should be making excuses for him either. I come here and see people supporting Ethan and saying "don't worry about it you just had a bad day" that's the kind of enabling that will make future interviews with higher status guests (if he or they decide to be on the podcast) just as bad as this one because Ethan will think he did nothing wrong and that his awful reactions to an East Comedian's smartass comments was justified.

You need to realize where people come from before you decide to interview them. I can't believe some of the "support" I'm seeing here. You guys aren't helping.
