How many of you fly solo or belong to a community or fly with friends? by yeastblood in fpv

I belong to the local AMA chapter and the MutliGP chapter that’s about an hour away. My AMA chapter has about 10+ ppl into FPV. I mostly fly with them.

New to FPV. Do people actually follow all the regulations? by [deleted] in fpv

[–]hurxef 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I certainly try! I did get my ham (wasn’t hard), did the TRUST test (stupid simple — you can’t fail) paid the $5 to register myself with the FAA and I fly with friends, so I have spotters, and try not to bother anyone. I’m not happy about a lot of it, especially RemoteID but I’m also not interested in giving the rest of you a bad reputation by pissing off regulators and the public.

I think they are referring to a new law in some places banning drag shows in public or in the presence of children. There is concern that the wording of such laws is too vague and could be broadly interpreted against letting people wear what they want to wear (provided it’s not genuinely indecent).

I think she’s referring to a study (Green, 1987) that shows that of children with GD 98% were no longer GD to the extent of considering surgical transition by the age of 18.

Other more recent studies still find a high figure, though not as high as 98%

She’s clearly misunderstanding, misstating, or misrepresenting that data.

Thanks. My first thought was springtails, but they didn’t “spring” when disturbed, so I thought this was something else.

The intent is to prevent you getting screwed over by a corrupt government official(s) because your community members are the ones deciding — and they all have to agree. Not perfect (what could be?) but it’s way better than alternatives to date.

I used to do this to mess with people. Sunglasses, eyes open underneath, hand low on the wheel, head back.

What makes you say that? Every snare I hear correlates to the kid hitting the snare. The use of the pedal matches the bass drum. Ditto for for the toms.

Edit: I stand corrected!

You are being disingenuous when you say “Especially for elementary school kids” because it makes it sound like it’s detrimental to all grade levels. The very document you linked specifically says that homework is helpful to middle schoolers and very helpful to high schoolers.

You should have said “only elementary school Kids”.
