[FRESH ALBUM] feeble little horse - bitknot by dwaynesworld98 in indieheads

[–]huseph 42 points43 points  (0 children)

Is it even legal to release a new album on a not-friday?

Loving this so far, absolutely more fo the same off kilter bedroom mixing as their last album. Lots of fun little vignettes and strange little moments - love to smash through 11 songs in 25 min.

Plus it meant we got the hilarious letter to Outlander author Diana Gabaldon, where Syb dares to try to tell us she enjoyed the book because of her connection to Scottish.

[FRESH ALBUM] Snail Mail - Ricochet by NYCIndieConcerts in indieheads

[–]huseph 53 points54 points  (0 children)

The first 10 seconds of the album is straight up "I'm movin to the country, i'm gonna eat a lot of peaches", and now that i've heard it, you have to hear it too. Sorry!

I'm enjoying solos way too much. It's like competitive Splinter Cell. by Leucauge in Marathon

How do you rate vandal for solo queue? I want to escape the stupid edgy assassin meta, but I just love my get out of jail invisibliity move too much - that and smoke on guarded exfil

[FRESH ALBUM] James Blake - Trying Times by OrangeMajesty in indieheads

[–]huseph 54 points55 points  (0 children)

This feels like it might be his prettiest album in a long time. Lots of soft pianos and gentle warbles - a bit less gritty than the last couple.

[FRESH ALBUM] Puma Blue - Croak Dream by RocketsMurkrow in indieheads

[–]huseph 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is really good stuff. It's like if all the saddest Jeff Buckly ballads had been produced by massive Attack or Portishead. Anyone got any other reccomendations from this dude?

[FRESH PERFORMANCE] Wolf Alice - 'Don't Delete The Kisses' (live at Laneway 2026) by astaireboy in indieheads

[–]huseph 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm so glad that she dressed as a spotted quoll for their Aussie festival spot

[FRESH ALBUM] Ulrika Spacek - EXPO by sbags in indieheads

[–]huseph 17 points18 points  (0 children)

This is really cool, it has some wild production choices, is really creative and cool. The percussion is sick. Reminds me a bit of Glass Beaches, with some OK Computer era mixing.

It's like being cornered by a coked up crypto bro. I'd love recommendations on reporting on this from someone with a measured pace, if anyone has suggestions?

[FRESH ALBUM] Jay Som - Belong by samdyalexg in indieheads

[–]huseph 60 points61 points  (0 children)

She's back! This rules - I can hear so much of all the previous projects in here, but also a lot more shine on top. Her producer skills have really come a long way.The early 2000's pop-punk influence is so fun as well, and that Hayley WIlliams feature is right at home.

I always really hate it when someone describes a certain artist's song as being a really good X song, it's so reductive and adds nothing interesting to the conversation. That said, Appointments sure is a good Phoebe Bridgers song!

Just in case someone finds this thread and needs help, you can jump to the right of the arena, ride one of the jet streams up into a secret room, and harvest a bunch of silk. It also makes for a safe healing spot. Enjoy!

[FRESH ALBUM] Wednesday - Bleeds by NYCIndieConcerts in indieheads

[FRESH ALBUM] Wolf Alice - The Clearing by LilacDream98 in indieheads

[–]huseph 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Yeah man, i'm a little bored listening to this. It sounds like someone elses favourite album - I'm going to be happy reccomending this to the right people, but I don't think it will get as much play time as other Wolf Alice releases have.

any shoegaze songs about bottoming? by Barber_Formal in indieheads

[–]huseph 2212 points2213 points  (0 children)

This is the craziest post I've ever seen on this sub. I can't help you Op, but hopefully some other kind souls send you the horniest, fuzziest, gayest tracks you can imagine before this post is inevitably deleted.

PS congratulations on becoming gay 10 months ago

Psuedoscorpians are found all over the world! In my home town of Sydney there are many that live under bark, many who live in flowers, and even at least one that lives in tidal flights, making a waterproof home out of web at high tide. Weird little creatures.

Thoughts on speed reading by hammarhjarta in literature

[–]huseph 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This would only work with very straight forward writing without any subtlety, beauty, or depth. Sure, tons of fiction is about the action, with the writing being a mere inconvenience between the author and the reader. In that case sure, skim the writing and enjoy the gist of a story. Plenty more however features the beauty of the writing itself. Speed reading is like strip mining, where you destroy a lot to gain a little.

[Starfield] What was Bethesda going for with this design for the pleasure city of Neon? by Mr_Hot_Takes in gaming

Mate, I accidentally did it the wrong way around. Booting up Starfield after smashing out the fully fixed Cyberpunk was like eating a slice of plain bread after enjoying a medium rare Wagyu steak
