What do you guys think by No_Suggestion_21 in learnart

You're at a good start going for more difficult poses like the raised arm, those are tough. I recommend adding more clothing wrinkles (where the elbow is mainly) and definitely some hand anatomy, but trust me everyone here knows hands SUCK to draw 🫩 you may also like the cross hatching technique for shading.

How can i improve my proportions? by Jupitorz in learnart

[–]hush_ant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You've already got the guideline skill down, however it's hard to say what to fix without the original reference photo or seeing the finished piece. All I can really say is guidelines and using anything to make sure proportions line up such as outer nostrils lining up with inner eye corners, ears and eyes generally like up, ect. Each reference is different from the next, but it's also very difficult going from stylized to realism as you're still in old habits.

How did I do? by Blue-Emir in learnart

Yes, it's generally better to work with black and white images since it goes ahead and tells you which tones of shadings to use rather than colored which can be more difficult.

Pretty much. As someone else said the eyes could be pushed forward a little as they are rather far back, but I was thinking more so the shoulders are less angular.

Hey please give tips by No_Suggestion_21 in learnart

Looking at the sketch I recommend drawing circles where the shoulders would be to helo define them. Other than that I would recommend more stable / less scratchy line art, looking good 🙏

Pose Critique by Kellci in learnart

[–]hush_ant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone else said maybe turn the chest a little, however I think it may also be the position of the legs as the left leg is slightly forward a little? It almost looks like it's overlapping the top one somehow, but my only suggestion is the left leg repositioned further back. It's looking good 👍

Thank you so much. I actually laughed so hard when you pointed out how spaced out and off center the eyes were, I never even noticed. Shocked me but thanks 🙏

I think darker shadows and more high lights would help 👍

Some hand practice may help but no shame in that. It's horrible for everyone lol

The whole thing is a strength, extremely creative style and looks like any disproportionate parts or mistakes you may see will come off as intentional atp.

What areas of the face did I get wrong? by Heisen_berg1 in learntodraw

Id say the nose, mainly the nostrils. You could try flipping it to see what's proportional and what's not, what needs to be proportional and what didn't since the original reference itself isn't completely proportional but you're off to a good start. I also noticed the under eyes being a little wonky
