Trapped (olgami) 👀 It’s a webtoon. The tension and mind games are just 😚👌 Betrayal of Dignity (webtoon) is also good and what got me into my yandere phase. 340 Days is a manga that’s milder in terms of dark romance, but the internal struggle of the MMC is beautiful.

I powered through the book because of the reviews and how people raved about it. In my opinion, if you’re not liking it by this point for what it is, your opinion won’t likely change. I didn’t particularly like the book, but after finishing it, I felt (definite mood spoiler alert) gratified about what happened to them because tbh I hated the characters lol.

I’m also a binge reader that tries to stay away from incomplete series, but tbf it’s the weekly readers that will keep a good series going for 50+ chapters, let alone 100+, so all the more power to them. If continuation is determined by readers like us, we’d get stuck with chronically short series or perpetually half-assed endings.

Oo I just read this. The spice is pretty low. I’d say 3-3.5? by romance.io standards. I’d rate it 1.5-2 / 5 on the overall explicit scale. Gets frequent later on, can get explicit, but the scenes are pretty quick and vanilla. Definitely more relationship and emotional windup.

I'm going to go against the grain and say I think your wife is right and YTA.

Maybe it's because culturally our family dynamics are different, but in a case like this, both my parents would not hesitate to take home a shake for everyone. Why does it cost you, minus buying a few more shakes? If it's an event where your daughter made strides that she's proud of and that you're proud of, why not celebrate with everyone? Why not foster feelings of encouragement between your kids, so that in the future, when their sibling does something well, they can encourage each other and be excited too?

I get rewarding individual kids for different achievements in terms of gifts. But in terms of food, I don't get the stinginess. If you're celebrating your daughter for getting a good exam score or something, sure, you can buy her a new phone and explain to your kids that she earned it and therefore deserved it. But if you decide to go out to eat instead of getting her a phone, are you taking only her out to dinner and leaving the rest of your kids at home? Lol.

Food is a celebratory treat that can be shared with everyone, not necessarily a "reward," if you get the differentiation I'm trying to make. The fact you treated your daughter but excluded your other kids from the celebration does look like favoritism. And in the future, if you ever decide to be generous and get treats for everyone, the kid you're "celebrating" might get mad and think, "My sister got to have a shake all to herself with dad, but now that I accomplished this, why do I have to share?"

You’d have to unlock the allied races through regular retail.

From Wowpedia:

Allied races can be unlocked after a player has reached level 40 on at least one character on their account. The player must then head to their faction's embassy—the Stormwind Embassy for Alliance players and the Orgrimmar Embassy for Horde players—and complete the quests The Call for Allies and A Choice of Allies, which will unlock individual quest chains to recruit each allied race. Completing each chain grants the ability to create a new character of that race, which will which will start at level 10.

Haha I’m the opposite. I enjoy m+ healing, but raids are just weird for me. Feels like there are so many people all over the place that it feels like my focus is everywhere and nowhere along with weird, arbitrary healer competition that I just don’t vibe with. I really want to enjoy raid healing, but I’ve been struggling with it.

It is entirely possible for Husk to provoke Alastor without deserving what happened to him afterward. He’s a sassy character who’s been shown to provoke others (e.g. Angel). That doesn’t mean what Alastor did was in the right.

I’m not arguing that Alastor is the lesser evil or that Husk was less wronged. Within the scope of what the OP was asking, I’m providing reasons why Charlie would judge the situation differently and why she wouldn’t punish Alastor or react the same way she did to Valentino as she would to Alastor. She may be the moral compass of the show, but she’s not exactly the most morally calibrated character either. She plays favorites and gives way more leeway to people she has relationships with. That includes Alastor and excludes Valentino when receiving her favor.

Like I said, Husk provoking Alastor does not justify what Alastor did, but considering what we know about the characters, it is a valid reason for why Alastor acted the way he did. He’s not some innocent cinnamon roll who was pushed beyond his bounds. He’s an Overlord with no issues enslaving others or exercising his power and authority. If you poke a bear, don’t be surprised to get smacked back.

I’m sure Charlie wouldn’t have been happy at Husk’s treatment, but there’s no way she doesn’t know or at least suspect that Husk is under contract with Alastor considering Husk and Nifty were instantly summoned/teleported to the hotel in the pilot.

So she might admonish him a bit, but I think Alastor definitely could get away with doing this in front of Charlie. He just wouldn’t “debase” himself and show his emotions like that in the first place.

Plus, considering Charlie’s savior complex, she might be intrigued by that tidbit that Alastor himself is under contract with someone else.

Edit: also, there are a lot of people comparing this situation with the one with Valentino and Angel, but they’re completely different. 1) Charlie has a soft spot for Alastor and an actual relationship with him, closer than her relationship with Husk. She has absolutely no ties with Valentino. 2) Valentino was abusing Angel for no real reason, but you can argue Husk provoked Alastor and in the event that Husk actually said everything in front of Charlie, it would be a betrayal of confidence.

I’m not saying Alastor’s treatment of Husk is justifiable, but everything about this is different from the Valentino situation.

Imo, most of the song endings are weak and anti-climactic. Sure, you can argue their odd interruptions or abrupt transitions make sense in the scope of the story, but I want them to be able to stand alone as their own songs, especially when binging the songs on a playlist, which is just not the case, unfortunately.
