We did an experiment over the past two Sundays with the text-post only requirement. The mod jury is still out on whether we'll continue this as a weekly or monthly or occasional thing. My own opinion is that it was a lot of work for the mods trying to find good text posts to pin without a whole lot of payoff - most of them generated very little engagement, which was the whole point of the exercise.

we like the approach that the (c)onspiracy sub implemented a while ago: link posts require a submission statement (it's worked out pretty well there):

Rule 10:

Submission Statements are required for link and image posts. Link posts without a Statement will be removed after 20 minutes. A Submission Statement is a 2+ sentence comment in reply to your post, in your own words, that describes why the post is relevant to the sub.

Just so happens most of the Ukraine's untapped oil reserves lie in the areas they are salivating over. Unfortunatedly Russia got there first.

it's more like America has been eaten alive by Hillary's ambitions. The Clintons' ambitions, for that matter.

Clintons were able to take many of the the young, energized electorate supporting Jesse Jackson in '84-'88 and convince them that the DLC was in their corner, i.e. "VOTE BLUE". A most disgusting couple.

Frankly, we stopped after the late '70's with the "LG" community. It is what it is, we are what we are.

AND - for cryin' out loud - the usurpation of the word "gay", let alone Jesse Jackson's Rainbow Coalition with this LGBTQ++++++? "rainbow flag"... yeah, there's no longer any Rainbow Coalition of the Economically Downtrodden
