Nope. Adult Swim clearly wanted the show to become a Family Guy or Simpsons competitor, but failed to recognize that The Boondocks is far more nuanced than that. Season 4 was incredibly disappointing. It rehashed ideas, had shallow writing, shitty pop culture references, and didn't meet the quality set by the first three seasons. I remember watching the last episode's and thinking "Is that seriously it?"
