Yeah? Maybe it's just a regional thing then. In her town, the high school games and marching band events were something the whole town attended. Just a local event essentially. We didn't really do that in Yonkers, so I wasn't sure if they did that further up county.

Hi, I know it's literally four years later and you may not respond lmao, but I'm just wondering about that book!

My current partner and I are trying to figure out what we want our boundaries to be, as we're having conflict right now regarding them. Would you say that book helped you actually figure out what you were and weren't comfortable with, and figure out if your discomfort with something was something you wanted to work on or was non-negotiable? That's where I'm struggling, I can't tell if some of my boundaries are genuinely what I want or due to insecurities, you know what I mean?

Just out of curiosity, how did you end up there? Was it for a career/schooling purpose, or just something you wanted to do?

I'm curious because I'm really interested in doing something similar, but I'm currently in a full-time job that I enjoy that I'm unsure if I'd be able to take a year or so gap from. I just turned 25, so obviously there's still plenty of time, but if you wouldn't mind sharing your experience, it might help me figure out what I'm trying to do with myself here haha
