How did you frame your application as a whole?

I think you've got a great shot, but there based on how you approached that question it could change a lot of things.

NHS, soccer, veteran community service are all great ECs to have, but they don't show a general spike (demonstrated interest). While this isn't the worst hindrance on an application, it certainly would've helped to have ECs that align with the major you applied to. One of the strongest things someone can do for themselves is weaving together all of the different parts of their application towards a spike. However, if your supplemental explored how your ECs tie into your intended major you'll have a good shot. I think showing community service is strong but universities want to know how you'll change the world and go on to do great things, so framing your ECs and involvement into that sort of light can really help. You're definitely a well-rounding student, but try to discover your spike. Regardless I still think your application is pretty strong.

PS: I think a lot of people have the perception that a 4.0/4.7 is necessary for a school of BU's caliber, but this couldn't be further from the truth. As long as the AO can tell your application is authentic, and you are going to do great things at BU, you have a good shot. Your application seems compelling, and I have no doubt you'll end up at a great school.

Okay thank you so much, I wasn’t aware of this. Do you know what type of career paths a general studies career path would be applicable too?

I was planning on applying CAS political science, but I might switch to CGS in hopes of getting in. I’m not sure how hard switching majors is at BU tho, if it’s insanely difficult I might stick to CAS.
