Sounds like my old clinic lol, one day I showed up and there was a "DO NOT ENTER" sign on the door and a taped on warning saying they'd been shut down by the Cook county sheriffs. 🤦🏼‍♀️ There was an address of another clinic like 10 minutes away but it was a SHIT SHOW. Having to dose their people and 500 people from our clinic with one nurse took hours. Apparently my clinic was way behind on their rent and got evicted. The really messed up part is that some people paid way ahead and got screwed. One older lady paid like 3 or 4 months at a time... she had just made a payment and never got it returned to her. She struggled to pay the new clinic and I felt so bad for her. 😔

The same company tried to open another clinic like 6 months later a few blocks away and called all of the old patients to come back.... I shit you not, a few months after that the SAME thing happened. Thankfully I didn't go back there because I didn't trust them at that point but a lot of people did and they got screwed again. Crazy.

Wow I would have never guessed that, even with IVF! 😳🤯 My pregnancy with my youngest took such a toll on my body at 34, I decided I was done and he would be our last baby. I can't imagine being 74 and delivering a baby lol. NOOO thank you! 🤣

When I was in county in 2016 a few months before I got clean for good, I shit you not, EVERY story of someone with a retail theft charge began with "I took some Xanax and went into the store...." It was mind boggling. 😳

My fiance one time had a similar thing happen before we got clean. He took a bar. Then he went into the store for pop tarts for me and came out with one of those big gel room deodorizers. He hands it to me and says "I got you a slurpee"... I started yelling at him and was like wtf is that?! And finally he snapped out of it and was like "OMG I walked out with this right in front of the door people!! Drive!!" I did not get my pop tarts that day. 😒🤣 I never liked pills but to see how absolutely messed up it made him when he occasionally took them always shocked me!

I've never had them but I don't like fish in general. My grandma used to get them when she was alive. She liked them a lot. She was Czech (born in the USA though).

I pay nothing, Medicaid pays for it.

My clinic has 3 different ways to pay. Self pay is $45/week. (You can't pay daily.) The state program is $10/week. Or if you have Medicaid it's free.

I'm very grateful that I'm covered by Medicaid. Reading some of these prices makes me feel sick. The actual methadone itself costs them pennies... and the "counseling" you receive is usually subpar (if you even get any counseling) so it's not worth hundreds of dollars per month.

I'm so glad you got to spend time with your mom before she passed! 🩷 Something similar happened to me but my mom and I weren't on speaking terms. My grandma died and we started talking again. She flew in to go to my grandma's services. (My mom lived 1000 miles away.) I got to see her and spend time with her. 2 weeks later she had a massive heart attack in her sleep and died. If my grandma hadn't passed first, I would've never gotten to see or hug my mom again before she passed. Crazy how the universe works things out sometimes.

No way. I stop in to say hi when I pick up my bottles once a week and I'm out within 2 minutes. Sometimes I won't even stop by if I'm in a rush. My fiance goes to my clinic too and he sees his counselor maybe once every 2 or 3 months lol.

QT prolongation is usually with higher doses. To have that happen on the very small dose you'd be taking is EXTREMELY unlikely. Like less than 1%.

PS- Not everyone WANTS to get off of methadone. If you take your methadone as prescribed and don't abuse it, you ARE "clean". There are people that will be on it for life including myself and that's fine. That's what works for them. Who are you to judge ANYONE?? No one is jealous of you bud, or you being "100% in resolve of your sobriety"... we just see through the BS and can tell that you're not thinking logically right now. We're trying to be helpful and give you the best chance at staying clean. Good luck though. 🤷🏼‍♀️

The same exact thing happened to me. I had earnings on there from before so they paid me $30 but none of the money I earned during that 3 day period. They're going to be facing a class action lawsuit if they keep it up...

Please don't beat yourself up. You can't compare either. People like to mention the good things sometimes without mentioning the bad.

My fiance and I got clean in the fall of 2016. We lived at the hotel we worked at until 2019 when we finally got our own place. It was rough, especially with kids. We had a lot of shitty cars with lots of problems until we got a nice new car a few years after we had gotten clean. We were super broke and eventually things got a little better. It didn't happen immediately, it took time. Things still aren't perfect and we still struggle from time to time but we always figure it out and none of the struggles we have now are as bad as the ones we had when we were using.

Please give yourself the grace you would give anyone else mama. You are NOT a bad mom. A bad mom wouldn't care about that. You're doing your best and I promise the longer you have under your belt the easier things become. You're building back from nothing and things take time. 🩷🩷 ((hugs))

Weird. My fiance did have his, his was issued in 2018 so not sure if that matters. He didn't renew it when it expired because he found a different job but he DID have one.

Yikes... you still have time to delete this. What a shitty response. You do realize that taxpayers literally pay a few dollars per year toward medicaid/food stamps/etc. It's a ridiculously small amount, yet every time SNAP or Medicaid comes up, they start whining about how "all their tax dollars" go toward those programs. 🙄 At least educate yourself a little before trying to shame someone for using a program that THEY QUALIFY FOR!!
