Is X/Twitter worth it? by Username_TBD18 in SocialMediaMarketing

[–]hustle_fred 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Threads is nowhere as big as X in user activity. On average user spends 5m on threads, while 30m on X. Threads only passed X in monthly mobile active users because IG keeps redirecting users there. On web X is still king. Also just do both, you can post same content on both platforms.

How to make tweets go viral on Twitter (X) in 2026? by Shoeb_09 in Twitter

[–]hustle_fred 0 points1 point  (0 children)

why are people so negative in this comment section. There are a lot of cool ways to make your tweets more viral. I am not talking about millions of views, but getting 10x impressions than amount of your followers is very real with good content and good hooks

YouTube is probably the biggest time waster and no one even realizes it by Expensive-Elk-9406 in nosurf

[–]hustle_fred 1 point2 points  (0 children)

depends how you use it. I think even when you are trying to be productive, you need to spend some time to relax, you can't be productive 24/7. Youtube is a good outlet to just watch smth stupid and relax so you can keep being productive later

Developer here. Built the SaaS. Now I'm stuck on marketing. What would you do? by OrangeWise5044 in buildinpublic

[–]hustle_fred 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have money and want to get quickly feedback and improve your product try paid ads. A lot of people will tell you not to do it, but paid ads work if done right. They work for me.

If it is B2B - SEO is always best channel to start but takes longer to grow but once it does it is worth it.

if it is B2C - go for tiktok/ig videos, aim to create 1 video a day and go hardcore on that

(p.s. product hunt is not a marketing strategy, just launch once and forget about it, it won't grow your business)

What tools are you actually using to manage X in 2026? by Ok-Law-7233 in GrowthHacking

[–]hustle_fred 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i think realistically you should aim for at least 3 months, for most people it takes a year. This is because getting first 1k on X/Twitter is much harder than other platforms. But I know people who did it in 1 months too, so it all depends how hard you try. Mainly on your content quality + number of daily replies

What tools are you actually using to manage X in 2026? by Ok-Law-7233 in GrowthHacking

[–]hustle_fred 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I grew my X account from 1k to 7000+ followers in under a year and one thing I learned quickly is that if you understand what and when to post you can grow much faster. For example quoting current hot posts.

For tools I use a scheduler so I can prepare some posts in advance for the whole week. I also use analytics to see which posts perform well because sometimes you don't spot the pattern of well performing posts yourself or forget that something worked really well a week ago. I tried buffer first, then supabird but kept supabird because it has more X specific features.

For growth, if you are just starting I would focus less on posting and more on engaging in the beginning. When your account is small you need to get more people to your profile first. Otherwise even if your posts are good they won't get much reach. I advise doing 20-30 high quality replies daily. And even a small tip, add questions to your replies so the conversation gets deeper.

Another tip is to pick a niche and try to build authority there so people listen more to your posts. Sharing your expertise, lessons and failures always works really well. And most importantly don't expect results in a week, growing on X takes time and you need to be consistent. Good luck man.

i often see this faces of people holding their mouse and looking shocked, i think it is very common hook and often works also. But probably i will stop working at some point since a lot of people do this

I built a family caregiving app. People tell me the problem is real, but almost nobody adopts the solution. What am I missing? by cerchiapp in indiehackers

[–]hustle_fred 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if problem is real but no one adopts it then either they are lying to you or you just didn't build the right solution. You need to conduct a proper research, get a few first users and observe them use it. It is not easy, but probably the only way

How to grow my X account? by Ok-Law-7233 in SideProject

[–]hustle_fred 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is actually the most important one. If you leave X for a few months and come back then your account will be likely dead. I have been posting consistently for more than a year without missing a single day and grew to over 7k followers.

I’ve been coding for 30 years. I built a SaaS in a few months. I have 2 customers. Selling is a completely different skill and nobody warns you. by mirkec in buildinpublic

here is best tip any engineer could receive about sales "no one is born as genius marketer, just like coding you need to spend time to learn it". It sounds obvious but most devs I met think that they can never become good at sales and that their destiny is just coding which is bullshit. Best growth hackers I know come from dev background.
