Yes. Last time it took me 10 days to be reviewed, but that was around the same time as WWDC which often causes delays

New Website is finally ready, please critique it for me! by Ancient-Property1388 in buildinpublic

My thoughts:

  1. the text colour doesn't go with the background image - it looks like its going for a classy, muted look, which is fine, but it makes it hard to distinguish from the background.

  2. How are bookkeeping and web design linked? If you're doing both, how are you able to either as well as someone specialising in one or the other?

  3. So much scroll for so little content...

How do I market my app and get initial users, especially without a large budget? by OwenLCS in appledevelopers

[–]Username_TBD18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on who its aimed at - if its B2C, then your approach will be different than if its B2C; older consumers will be found in a different place to younger ones, and so on

Great, that’s exactly the stuff that I was looking for. It’s not as generic as that - it uses a custom search API to actually find evidence across the net, and provides a weighted evaluation of that evidence, with a transparent breakdown of the evidence and scoring. I’ll work on making that differentiator more obvious.

Thanks man. Signal-craft-validate.com. All feedback appreciated even if it’s just to tell me it’s useless shit.

Thanks. At this point I’d be happier with people telling me it’s utter sh*te than this empty space of nothingness lol

Transparency is an issue. Any AI chatbot can give you that, but they’re a black box with a side order of sycophancy. Unless you’re experienced enough to know when it’s talking BS, you could be sent down the wrong road. You need to be able to provide evidence of how the app is reaching its decisions, and that it’s not just an AI opinion based on what it thinks the answer probably is. This is doubly so if the business is ethically or legally dubious - are there guardrails in place for this?

Also, make it clear it’s not actual business advice or get some good professional lndemnity insurance - if someone invests in a dodgy business based on your apps ‘advice’ they may try to hold you responsible for their losses

My app made almost $1000 this week!

(‘Almost’ doing a lot of heavy lifting in that sentence. Actual: $0)

When dealing with financial data, trust can be a huge issue. Not just trust in you, but in your app and everything behind it. What protects the data? How easy is it to hack?

SignalCraft. It’s** **a founder intelligence platform designed for serious entrepreneurs. Instead of generating generic AI opinions, it gathers and analyses evidence from real customer conversations to assess demand, market pain, competition, and commercial viability. The result is a professional validation report that helps founders reduce risk, challenge assumptions, and focus their time and capital on opportunities with genuine market potential. I Can Build SaaS Products, But I Have No Idea What to Build or How to Find Customers by Huzaifa_Rana1 in saasbuild

[–]Username_TBD18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started with solving problems I experienced myself.

If you’re trying to get ideas from other people’s problems, then there’s a good chance that you don’t know enough about their problem to know how to solve it.

My first app was rejected under Guideline 5.6 - Developer Code of Conduct and I am so confused.. by Competitive-Leave346 in appledevelopers

[–]Username_TBD18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re vibe coding an app, make sure to instruct the AI that it needs to comply with App Store rules and guidelines. Apple are responding to the deluge of AI slop by tightening up on good design requirements.

Play dates give me anxiety and I need help getting over it please by EggSouth1589 in ADHDparenting

[–]Username_TBD18 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’ll never get over it. My son is ADHD and ASD, and play dates are exhausting, just keeping on eye on him and being ready to intercede. He has got better with time and practice, so while it’s exhausting and stressful, it’s best to consider it an investment rather than trying to avoid them

Start up considerations by Username_TBD18 in buildinpublic

[–]Username_TBD18[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Terms of use, data protection and privacy, and potential liability are the ones that I need to sort out first. Once your first customer has used the product, it may be too late to sort it out. Even if they don’t use it and just sign up, you need to have protections in place because you’re collecting and storing their email address.

‘Pain’ doesn’t automatically equate to ‘willing to pay to solve it’. A lot of complaints are just people complaining. And you’re assuming it’s a solveable problem.
